Unlike many other reviews, your playthrough is really helpful. All the sounds are thoroughly showcased. Great work!

I bought these and originally thought I needed to buy Nucleus or something. But hearing this, you made me realise I just need to learn how to use the tools I have.

I just downloaded the Spitfire BBCSO Discover. Coming from a mainly rock background, it's been really fun to explore this genre. I think this Cinematic Percussion would give me some sounds that would spice up the BBCSO. For the price, their originals seem well worth it, especially when comparing them to sounds in libraries that are more expensive. Great review Pete.

wow this have more percussion sounds in it than my Nucleus Library. Nucleus is great but the percussion part: Cymbals and bright/metal hits, is really lacking. it's low drums is amazing (from cerberus). but i really need a percussion add on library to complement it

The Original Series of Spitfire is really awesome for the price. Would really like to see you review the new BBC Discover Library. It sounds like a Game Changer, especially for educational purposes

I'm new to your channel, SpitfireAudio and waiting for Avid Pro Tools 2021.3 to install correctly. Which version of Pro Tools are you using? Liked and subbed ✅

Hello Pete. Thank you very much for this video, very useful. I'm considering to buy it, but I would like to know some more information, exactly I'm looking for about the instrument mapped in every key of the keyboard in the different patches, especially, earthquake, "high" and "low" hits. Is this information available somewhere? I've downloaded the manual and I was trying to find this information into it, but I could not read nothing related. I imagine there are bass drums, taikos, maybe concert toms or rototoms sounding... But, if possible, I would like to know which instrument is playing in every key para transcribirlo luego en una partitura. Do you know if there's any list about this? Thank you!
@PeteCalandra
@PeteCalandra 4 года назад
Hi. Thanks for the question. I do not think there is any list like that available. As I already had these sounds in the 'legacy' section of the newer Albion One, in was familiar with them.
@ChoPraTs
@ChoPraTs 4 года назад
@@PeteCalandra thank you for your reply. Yes, I've already bought this library, but could not see anywhere which instrument is playing each sound. I will try to guess by ear.

In the intro of the video you said that if you own the original library (In this case Albion ONE?) you get this original for free? Do you maybe know how i can submit to that? Kind Regards, Thijs
@PeteCalandra
@PeteCalandra 4 года назад
Hi Thijs, thanks for the comment. There was a library before Albion One called Albion. That library has been discontinued for a few years now and it’s from that discontinued library these sounds are culled from. That being said most of these sounds can be found in the legacy area of the percussion in Albion One.

how do you create tremolo piatti or toms? is it "automation"? or you play by fingers?
@PeteCalandra
@PeteCalandra 3 года назад
Hi. Thanks for the question. Tremelo Piatti manually played never sounds good. I use patches that have the tremolo performed.
@bartmuz
@bartmuz 3 года назад
@@PeteCalandra ya, I know, but is it sampled tremolo? or created by midi patch ?
@PeteCalandra

Sampled. 👍
