Bro your walk around is on point ❤love the build I switched to fi I had 2 zvx 18s on 2 smart 3s loved it time for more power tho I want a 4500rms sub 2 18s 1998 mitsubishi eclipse
New subscriber! I have a 2011 Tahoe. Are you running a second battery under the hood? I want to do a lithium battery in the back straight off the alternator.
I didn't see what your voltage was holding at and do you have external regulation on your voltage coming out the alt mine is a brand x 320 and it's the plug and play for a 12 volt system so can't do anything over 14.4 I have exactly the same set up you do sub wise I'm just running a md8k 2 ohm version wired to 2 ohms at the amp I was wondering if I could run two bass 8ks I have an 80AH underground power lithium bank that I have yet to install but I have had a lot of people tell I don't have enough lithium to run 2 of those amps
SYSTEM SUPER DOPE!!!! UNTILE THE BACK SEAT I WOULDA JUST LEFT THE BOX OUT OF THE TRUCK UNTIL I WAS ALL DONE BUT BIG PROPS TO YOU FOR DOING YOUR OWN WORK THAT TRUCK SO CLEAN
@@SleepyBoiii ppl don't know the countless hours that go into a clean build I got redo my set up it's but thanks for the inspiration I'm trying not to quit got my boxes in and wired on to the next parts.
Port is 5 inches away from the lift gate, width of my port is 6in. Most people recommend it to be the width of the port. So i think its fine. Appreciate it though bro ! 💯🔥
If you wanna be precise about it, if you extend your port walls all the way to the trunk wall or whatever its close to, and measue the area of that nonexsistant "strip", it should be equal to the port area. Basically since the air can flow in all directions once it exits the port, you want that area to be atleast equal to the ports area. So in this case, 5in away from the back would be plenty.
Very impressive! I'm gonna be doing my Big 4 runs soon, just haven't been confident enough to do it myself but a shop wants to charge me over $300 do it. IMO that's craziness.
I think its around 20 feet or maybe 25, i left extra since i know ima make changes in the future. That way i dont have to rerun my wires again. I have extra
You should move to lithium batteries my man. You’d probably make more power. What’s your voltage dropping to? I’m in the process of building my 96ah headway lifepo4 bank for my 4 12 vxf’s build in my Explorer. I’ve got the new jp83 amplifier from D4S going in the back along with the jp23.4 for my mids and highs. The recovery time of lithium is 5 times faster than agm batteries, and not to mention a quarter of the weight. The best part about the headway lithium is that you can run them with your agm’s because they are close to the same resting voltage. Either way, sweet build bro! Can’t wait to take some videos and post them on here once mine is up and running! Bass on 🤘
Yes , i am planning on running lithium next or doing my door panels ? But i think my electrical should be first. It looks pretty easy to do since im a diy typa guy, but i just need to do a little more research & study lithium a bit more so i can do my own bank
How did you sound deadener on the back lift door? I need to do the same .mines hits hard and I don't want that rattle. Yours is nice. You got your Tahoe coming out nice. If you could start all over would you still choose this Tahoe. I mean have you seen the new Tahoe. I love the new Chevy Tahoe. But too expensive. That's why I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe I'm fixing up. Did a ton of things to it. I still have a ton to go.
I took off the panel, & did small cuts to fit in the holes.. i didnt do the whole lift gate due to tight space. But i tried to get the whole lift gate.
Cool. Similar to my setup. Q: U said each of the 4 subs have their own amp I think, but you have only 2 sub amps right? I used 1 bass 8k per 15" sub. Fi Neo 4.11 street class setup doing 55s (dB). Hope you run your 8K grounds directly to batteries.
That's a nice build my man I think yours is better than mine and I also have 4 15 but my man what song was that you played at the 609 mark it was by Etta James I believe but what's the name of the song
I have a 3/4 drop from belltech, but with all this weight from car audio, might of dropped a inch or 2. So basically sitting like a 3/5 or a little more
Hey bro, awesome set up! I have a 2006 with a 320 alt, 2 VXF 15’s but only on a Taramps 3K…how’s your voltage when your playing full tilt? Mine drops low 12’s but I only have one battery for now.
I have 2 400 amp alts & 3 d7500s now with a 1 d3400 in the front, i still drop down to 13.6. These taramp amps take up alot of juice lol i have 8ks as well
On this video my electrical wasnt on point, i now have 2 400 amp alts with 3 d7500s now, also depending on the box as well, this isn't really a spl box. Its more on the SQ side. New system going in pretty soon 👌🏽
I have to throw out some demo videos out there before i sell this system, just cant find a good spot, always getting cops called or getting told to leave the spot 😒
@@HardKnocks160s that's not how it works. I'm asking for true RMS. RMS doesn't mean cranking it up to 10,000 watts for 2 seconds. I'm tryna play a whole 10 songs without worrying about blowing them.
@@bailey2517 I know who it's works... sir I have a wall build.. I'd say 2-3k each on music.. for a few songs , 10 mins straight on 10k clamped on music , say 4- 15s would be alittle too much at 40hz U will need to plays some lows to cool them coils off a bit in between songs but yes I'm sure they can handle decent power but big power for straight 10 mins.. ul need to let them cool down I run 5- Skar audio DDX 15s on a Korean 7.5k wired to .4 only rising to .9- 1ohm maybe a hair higher on music I clamp over 10k on burps I'm sure I'm clamping around 6-8k on music it's does okay 161.3db 👍
You done the wire work? If so impressive! I've seen "Car Audio Shops" you would put to shame from your wire runs. This imo is how a audio system should be run!
@@SleepyBoiii yep, I'm an 51yr old man that feels like 81 but, been into car audio since about 20yrs old. I've worked with car audio shops but, never for one. I do things 1 way. Right or not at all. I'm about 3wks from finishing up a redesign in my 08 Yukon Denali. I should of had it done by now. Nothing like yours. I just have 2-18's and 4-3.5 two ways and 4-6.5+1" components all Rockford punch, Skar 18's, 3 batteries, 2 runs of 0ga, big 3, still lack my alt. I'm only running about 5,500rms. Its a daily. Your wiring is exactly the way I do mine. Once its all finished I'm putting it on my channel. Its a firearm channel but, I can't live without bump. Again superb wire work.
@@SleepyBoiii you got it brother!!! Thanks for the sub!!! I'll be dropping some new videos Lord's will this coming Saturday with my AR9 and my AR300bo I just got done with. I have a few suppressors and whats cool about the last can I got, it will run on the 300bo and my AR9 both. Just change the end caps. I just dropped $330 on a QD mount and 2 muzzel breaks for the two AR'S. I was hoping to shoot yesterday but my ammo didn't come in. I'm doing a video where I shoot unsuppressed, then suppressor with regular ammo, then suppressor with subsonic ammo. I will be doing that on both AR'S. I've been waiting 2 months for all this to come together! Thats why my Yukon is still running the same Rockford Fosgate system 2-15"P3's on a Punch 1000d(1425rms) 8.0cuft box tuned to 38hz. Needless to say going with 2-18's and a JP33(4K rms) 10cuft box tuned to 34hz should push more air that whats in their now. I'm just guessing but probably 147-48db right now. Hopefully my new build pushes me over 150db. Sorry for talking your ear off. I live in middle Tennessee. If your ever this way get with me and we'll check out systems and go shooting on me.
@@SleepyBoiii how big is your box is it big enough for your speakers thinking about running same subs maybe 6 of them or 4 not sure yet I don't want to have to possibly do a wall an what ohm are your speakers since you have the 2 tar amps 8 k's
