It took 2 terminal cancers to finally have Wallace laid to rest. This is the last time we played disc that was caught on film before he passed. You are missed, but will be remembered. Long Live Wallace the Pit Bull!
RIP Wallace, he will be missed by millions. Such a big heart in a little powerful package. He is and always will be a Great Ambassador for his breed. We are all happy that he had you for a best friend.
They say you can messure a man's soul and greatness by the way he treats his animals, and you my friend are a good and great human being. God bless you and your family, and thank you for putting a good word for pitbulls in the world.
My dog Daisy died early New Year's Day. I have cried on and off for 2 weeks now. I know she will never be replaced. But I will foster with Prairie Pit Bull rescue, an organization I volunteered with in the last year here in Alberta, Canada. Pit Bulls are wonderful dogs. Train them, love them. If you are willing to be a good Pit owner...you will be rewarded.
it is ok my friends dog had to be put down on new years cause of a tumour that spread throughout his whole body and he just gave up would not eat/drink :(
Wallace is and always will be my favorite athlete. I followed him for a long time. And I still visit him through your videos Roo. With tear filled eyes ......
Wallace you were a true Ambassador to your breed and an inspiration to all Pit Bull owners including myself. May you forever be at peace. You will be remembered and missed. Thank you Roo for showing the world the truth my friend.
he must have been such survivor - he looks so fit and healthy (and also in the video of him and the box of toys!). you must miss him deeply. thank you for taking so much care of him and loving him the way that all animals should be loved!!
Wallace was very fortunate to have you to pursue his passion with him. He lived a very happy life because of you. Thank you for sharing him with us, too!
I just finished listening to the book in Audible and had to fi d the videos. Wallace was such an amazing ambassador for the breed and thanks you Roo and Clara for believing in him and working for the cause to show the world we can't judge a dog by their looks anymore than we can a human. I am an owner of a pit bull and a very proud one♥️
Thanks for sharing this, Roo. I don't think I ever saw Wallace not happy, not wagging his tail so hard his entire back end shook back and forth. He was so loved and he knew it.
Just finished reading the book about Wallace. Unbelievable what terrible injustice he went through and what he accomplished. The You Tube videos brought me to tears. Pit Bulls are BIG babies and love to give kisses....
I'm soo sorry for your loss, I finished reading the book about Wallace in 3 days, and I have a toddler that's 2, 3 dogs(2 APBT, 1 Miniature Pinscher), full time job, and volunteer at a rescue. I couldn't put the book down. Thank you for everything you've done for this breed. Please keep it up.
I just learned of Wallace's story today, and this video brought tears to my eyes. It was such a beautiful tribute. We don't all get such a memorable last time with our beloved pets that we can cherish. Thank you for sharing his beautiful story, and bless you for saving his life!
It is so sad to watch this kind of videos and to know this beautiful playful puppy is gone, he is full of energy and happiness and I would be so proud of his intelligence and loyalty, so sad cancer took such a wonderful soul! RIP Wallace and cross the rainbow bridge to play will all the furry friends.
Absolute star of a dog. A true inspiration for humans to learn how to be human/dog. May your life legacy continue forever Wallace. That's 1 big Heart!!
I'm so sorry for your loss. Glad to see him doing what he loved until the very end. Just wanted to let you know that you and Wallace inspired me to work with pit bulls and help get a better name for the breed, just like you. Rest easy, Wallace. You will be missed.
Cried through the whole video.... What an absolutely beautiful tribute to an awesome dog and the man that loves him. RIP sweet Wallace... Over the bridge is a bullmastiff, Cami Lu, find her, she would love to play with you. We will meet you there. Cancer is devastating.
This made me cry all over again, just like Idid on the day he died. He was such an amazing dog and it's hard to believe he could still perform so well this late in life. He really is missed.
You have the most beautiful videos that capture your amazing bond with Wallace. And man, who ever picks the music for the videos and edits them knows how to evoke emotion. You, Clara, Wallace and the other furbabies, inspire me to be a better dog owner, and advocate for our furry family members. Thanks you for opening your most tender moments with us.
Wallace is a major reason that I considered a pit bull as my next dog, and ended up with my deaf pit bull Mumford. Besides Wallace's accomplishments, I learned of Animal Farm Foundation, where I got Mumford, from the book about Wallace.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I had my 15 year old Staffordshire cross, Oscar, euthanised on the 30th Sept, so i know just how devastating it is, and what a huge hole they leave when they pass. I hope you take comfort in knowing everything you did was for him, his enjoyment and to make sure his life was fulfilled and of quality, unlike so many, many dogs out there. He was obviously loved and cherished, and was a great ambassador for his breed. Rest easy Wallace.
How ironic for me that I thought the Bucket List was things to do before enjoying being an elderbull lapdog, not a sick friend. I finished the book the same month Wallace passed away. I will never have another dog in my life other than a pit bull. They're the best. And Wallace was one of the greatest ambassadors. The joy of watching that tail wag makes me happy and sad at the same time knowing this remarkable animal is no longer with us. RIP Wallace. You are an inspiration.
...and just as importantly, THANK YOU ROO! Thank you for developing a TRULY UNFORGETTABLE INSPIRATION. Thank you for showing & teaching THE WORLD what a seemingly average Pit Bull is capable of in THE RIGHT HANDS! Especially since WAY TOO MANY LOW-LIFES (M. Vick) have shown us what THE WRING HANDS CAN DO
Nothing keeps these beautiful dogs down. Nevermind whatever the Media likes to claim, these are the best most loyal loving dogs around! I volunteer at 3 different local shelters which are all predominantly full of pitbull / pitbull mixes and I have never experienced nothing but love from these dogs. I have been bitten twice at the shelters. Both time were by breeds weighing less than 15 lbs. These dogs are such survivors. I have seen them come in in the absolute worst conditions and still be full of love.
They used to have t-shirts "Alaska: Where men are men and Susan Butcher wins the Iditarod," and they said Susan Butcher only won the Iditarod when she had a great lead dog, Granite, and Wallace is like Granite, an exceptional dog. We love you, Wallace! That was a great book!
While we all mourn the passing of such a special dog, realizing this was a PIT BULL AMBASSADOR UNLIKE ANY WE HAVE EVER SEEN, OR LIKELY WILL EVER SEE AGAIN, let us NEVER lose sight in the HUFE part played by Roo, his rescuer and owner. Roo took a chance on a Death Row Pit Bull and then put in COUNTLESS, ENDLESS HOURS turning a sweet pit bull into an ambassador which found NATIONAL ATTENTION! So RIP, Wallace and,
Wow, this brought tears to my eyes. I own an APBT of pure "fighting bloodlines" and was rescued and I can say my boy has brought our family nothing but pure joy and laughter. He loves other dogs, is a great all around hunting dog, is exceptionally gentle with children (is my 3 y o grand daughters best friend) loves everyone he meets. He is even gentle when playing with smaller neighbors dogs. He's extremely intelligent and loving. When you put this exceptional breed in a loving home they rewrite the term " game dog" . Game should not be determined by what he does in the pit but by his zest and love for life. I can't imagine a better friend and companion. Thanks Wallace, and to all pit bulls everywhere that just want to love and be loved....
Had a pit named powder. Greatest swimmer diver catcher ever. Lost her a 8 years to cancer. Been 4 months now and hurts worse. She was amazing. Your dog was amazing as well so sorry for your loss. 10x more likely to get cancer if unaltered so fix your buddies
Any dog that play frisbee with me is Just cool,.......mainly because I cant find any human who can or wants to play. Although my current Pitbull pup does luv to chase frisbee,....he is just a luvable sweet pup,.....all luv no hatred,...a true testament to the woman who rescued him from being an abandon tiny puppy, just weeks old....& raised him to luv not hate. he is currently about a year old.......a great dog,.....great kids dog....A dog, no matter what breed, will be what you train it to be...
having watched wallace over the years, in bliss i believed everything was ok. Last night i was showing my 6 year old son how good our little frisby dog could be by letting him watch wallace killin it........sadly this video popped my feed this morning. RIP. It could be that part of him lives on in our aushole shepherd. ANYTHING FOR THE FRISBEE!
It is a shame that those we love have to leave us. But I know there is a Heaven for dogs also, since Dogs are God's creatures too. He is watching down at you waiting for his dad and mom to join him for the endless play.
