Had a great day working on my rustic Alaska off grid cabin in the forest. I was able to get 5 more logs added to the walls and got a few more logs peeled and ready for the next time I get a chance to work on it. Not much time before the snow flies! It was 26 degrees when I showed up at the work site this morning. I made a nice little fire to warm my hands up around during the morning. Building a log cabin is a physically demanding endeavor so staying warm isn't a problem but my fingers get cold and its nice to have a place to warm them up. Thanks for following along and please don't hesitate to like, share and subscribe!

Will you dissemble and put subfloor on before permanently attaching?

@@alaskacabinadventures that is the plan. Might need a hand for that part.

Another great video and I'm learning a lot from each one! Stupid question - when you are scribing the log to the one below it to mark where your notches will be, what determines how wide the scribe is? Is it the widest gap that the log needs to come down or??? Thanks again for sharing your build and it looks fantastic.

U must be close to airport. All I hear is airplanes in background. What a shame

There is quite a bit of float plane traffic in the area.
