I’m 67 and these cars are the era I grew up in. I had no idea there were this many people still competing with these cars. Awesome to see this happening. Unfortunately my local Drag Strip was sold to a logistics company and has been demolished.
Thanks Tim, great coverage! Aahhh, those AA/FA are amazing, fast,wild and unpredictable back in the day. The Nostalgia Pro Stockers of the mid-late 70's thru the early 2k were when Pro stock was truly Pro Stock. Let's not leave out those awesome Gassers with the amazing variety of cars from the day! My best friend and myself used to do the Hot Rod Reunion every year and with much respect to Wally Park. I was unable to make this year but you fixed that. Thank you sooooo much for your post, it filled in the blanks. Great Job !!!!! look forward to the future. You have my love and respect.

Have never been, but would love to attend at once before I die. Drag Racer and fan all my life. I live in Idaho, so that would be a travel for this 56 year old man.
09/25/23' WOW ! shocked to see Ron Hope & Rat Trap still active. I still have an 8 x 10 photo of this car that i shot. Drove from Oregon to the 1996 Bakersfield March Meet, my older brother was good friends with Mr. Hope, a real great guy.
Wish the nostalgia funny’s would run the old style non skirted bodies! Mickey Thompson, US Marines car is So cool , great body ! Where’s the Pulde ‘War Eagle ‘ Dale? Slide it in there with the Harrell cars !
I hope there was nitro classes for fans even top fuel vs. funny cars and alterds vs. funny cars too. And hopefully for some quarter mile racing like this event has.😮
Tim, I hope you were wearing ear plugs! My favorite class would probably be the gassers. I love the Willys, Henry Js and tri- fives. The true 60's front engine dragsters and funny cars are awesome too! It was great seeing the Bob Gliddon Fairmont and Reher and Morrison Camaro too. I used to go to this event annually. I need to go back again. And what about that milk truck!
Yes, and I even had a spare set of ear plugs just incase. Those Pro Stock cars were great, so glad you enjoyed the video!!! The milk truck was cool!!!!!!

I went to this event here in Indy last month. Cool event! I'll be going to Good guys event in July in Ohio. That one used to come here long time ago. Can't wait!
@@THROTTLEPOWER used to go to SpringNationals in Tulsa. Got to see the Snake, Mongoose, Shirley, Garlits and a REAL young Force do battle. Golden times.

That was put on by Holley and the NHRA Motor Sports Museum. Probably the BEST Drag Racing event I've ever been to out at Beech Bend Raceway Walt. So glad you enjoyed the vid!!!!!!
