The gasser class was one of the coolest and earliest class of dragster starting in the late 1950s it's really cool that they haven't fell by the wayside. That class of race car will always be in a class of their own. PEACE.
Let me be the first RU-vid fan of SEGA to say Thank You to Nigel and his niece for traveling from half way around the world from Australia for visiting that race in person, THANK YOU!
Thanks to you for this beautiful video, and I do give all the praise to God in the Grace of Jesus, so go take yours know, and be favor saying thank you Jesus, amen, thanks BigAl California.
Thank You SEGA!! So many people in America are truly grateful for all that you guys do. From Superstock to A/G, this is way more exciting than NRA any day of the week.
I have to thank you people of S.E.G.A. for showing drag racing as I remember it. When we went to see our local drivers run the cars they built in their garages or shops. Back in the days when stock meant "stock" well close to it. It was good seeing real steel cars driven by non-professionals for fun. Keep it up, from an old, new fan. I just discovered your show at the age of 82.
That my friend is the coolest thing I.have ever heard. And as a fan myself of the sport I want to welcome you young man. And I hope you have many years of enjoyment in the sport. Peace C.
Wow,, been watching or the next of the SEGA videos but appears I missed checking the last 4 days. So glad to find you guys ahve a L O N G one!! 2 hrs of SEGA is AWESUM! Thank YOU, Merry Christmas and Happy, SAFE and Prosperous 2020!
Thanks a lot Mitch and all the gang at SEGA that help put on the RU-vid channel broadcast of the races in it's entirety !! I physically can't make a lot of the races but I'm a long time SEGA fan and love being able to follow the series on a weekly basis through your RU-vid channel. I cast it from my phone to my 70 inch big screen and it's just like being there, plus all the finish line and pit interviews Mitch does that you don't get to see if you're in the stands. Can't wait for the 2020 season !! Happy New Year y'all !!
Cudos to SEGA for bringing Sewell Imagery (sp) on board,, they're REALLY doing a GREAT JOB capturing the gasser race cars, their pilots, the lovely back up girls and the SEGA races! Thanks so much.
Nice to see all of these old gassers, this track is small and intimate feeling, the people are right up and personal to the wall, hope the k-rails are anchored down, nice cgas thanks BigAl California.
Philips, Wow. Sewell really come together on this race. Best race film/photo on YTube. That's pretty big. Happy new year from down-under. p.s; diggin' A/FX and H/G.
The 55 I want it going to be like the undertaker, all sweaty looking just like the undertaker, no motor is fine I have my own, 3000, ,rolling all parts, 5000. Need me some 55 now, thanks BigAl California.
Are there any ideas for future coverage...like a streaming RU-vid event, just a suggestion. Even if you don't I'm still a loyal subscriber on your RU-vid channel. Great entertainment, like where it all began, down South. -theautojunkie-
Gassers are fantastic. So much variety, color, and appeal. I use to watch Pro Stock during the Glidden era but now its Pro Camaro now and no resemblance to stock whatsoever, its funny car with gas and efi.
Happens a lot in drag racing the red truck rolled out of the beam just before the green light came on. He didn't have enough brake pressure when the rpm's came up it rolled before the green came on.
Dale we are going into our 10th year and have never posted times. We try our best to keep it like a race would have been in the mid 1960's and there were no score boards back then. Most little mom and pa tracks didn't even have clocks in those days. When racing first to the finish line wins clocks are not needed because the only thing that matters is who gets there first.
Bradly we have some video out that is just the cars running but they get less than 1/2 the views as the ones with David giving the details about the race. Maybe we could find a happy medium if the future.
I appreciate the knowledge of all their group of racers and cars, plus their knowledge of racing. Timing of their comments is good and they are all respectful of one another. Bo
Thanks to you for this beautiful video, and I do give all the praise to God in the Grace of Jesus, so go take yours know, and be favor saying thank you Jesus, amen, thanks BigAl California.
@@SoutheastGassersAssociation which manufacturer is mostly used and is there a limit on intake runner size and intake valve diameter size and can shaft mounted rocker ok can you give part# on cylinder heads
There are way too many legal heads for me to list all the part numbers but your welcome to give me a part number and I will tell you if it's legal or not. Intake runner deck to floor height is limited to .550. Shaft rockers are legal. Stock valve cover must fit. I included a link to our main web site where you will find the rules and other info. Let me know if you have any questions. www.southeastgassers.com/ ~Quain Stott~
Yea 45 years in racing and over 9 years already invested in the SEGA. It's been a long expensive road but it's starting to pay off, finally. Thanks for your support. ~Quain Stott~
We don't show or announce any of that. it's not a bracket race so no body cares what the et is. The only thing that matters is who got there first. Sorry our style of racing bored you so bad.
@@SoutheastGassersAssociation I think you covered that one SEGA :) It's all about who tags the big end beam first,, the time is irrelevant and NO,, WE FANS LOVE HOW YOU GUYS DO IT,, LONG LIVE SEGA!
While ET and MPH isn't shown (the winner gets to the stripe first as it should be BUT as a loose rule of thumb what would an A/ gasser run in the 1/8 if times were recorded? Just give me a rough idea of how fast them sweet rides are traveling.💪😎
Bryan, a competitive A/Gas car will run in the low 5.50's to 5.60's. The record is 5.35 but that was set in mineshaft conditions in November. Quain Stott
@@SoutheastGassersAssociation Thankyou for that It's hard on a screen to get an appreciation of speed, especially when 2 cars are equally as fast. They are hauling ass, and I bet a wheels up launch gets the driver attention 😎
