Just a tip to make your salad greens last longer, after you put them in the zip lock bag, breathe into the bag, close and shake. Then suck out the air and make it air tight. By blowing your breathe into the bag you add carbon dioxide which help preserve. I've been doing this for years and it keeps them from spoiling.

Traveling vicariously here and just love this video so much. Having been all over the world and lived in all kinds of situations, the things that push us to our limits also make us appreciate the inconsequential things. I lived on a tiny AK island near Siberia without running water and had to bring snow in to melt for water. A shower was non-existent, a cup of water was my bath. We humans are far more resilient than we can believe if we are pushed and allow ourselves to rise to the occasion. Keep on pushing your limits, Nikki.

Last year I took the seats outta my minivan and put a couch in it to sit & sleep on...this year I have a Cadillac DTS (BIG BOAT!) so I'm gonna steal your car setup layout, and take some trips with my rescue friend, "Billy the Pitbull". Please PLEASE PLEASE, consider this advice from a Phellow Philadelphian: Pretty Please with a cherry 🍒 on top, think about purchasing a "Personal Locator Beacon" for when you go hiking, sometimes bad weather comes in out of NOWHERE & can leave you disoriented or what if you slip or fall & for some reason you become immobile you will always be able to be located! Also call a friend or family member everytime before you go on a hike & tell them where you are & an estimated time you'll be back safe to call them & let them know. Last thing is a satellite phone for zones where there is no signal! I know this sounds pricey but how do you put a price on Your & Camper's safety?

Hey girl… Have you thought about a membership at a planet fitness? I’m a member there and for the black card membership it’s like 24 bucks a month and you can go to any of their 200+ locations shower work out use the massage chairs massage beds etc.

Once the pandemic dies down does it make more economic sense to have a membership to national gym chain (if there is such a thing) to use their showers?

I noticed Campers harness is on the front side which can cause him to trip. Not sure if you prefer it that way but the normal way of wearing it is that the lock strap should be around his shoulder blade where you clip his leash. It would be much convenient for both of you when you walk out. I have 3 dogs and a cat and I use something like Camps harness when I walk them out. I hope this helps. That’s pretty crappy for Walmart to advertise/invite people to sleep in their parking lots and then blast noise on the intercom all night. Do they want people crashing as they drive the next day bc of sleep deprivation or are they trying to look good with full intentions of making sure nobody actually takes them up on their offer by again, blasting bs thru the speakers?! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Hopefully it was a mistake from an employee who simply wasn’t paying attention and doing their job 🤞 Word on the street is that walfart doesn’t pay it’s employees well and management sucks, which might explain the employee not caring to do their job correctly 💁‍♀️ Who knows, but they need to turn the speakers off when they’re closed. I'm the same, salads are my main source of food. After deeply contemplating it, it might be my death row last meal choice too, Ha! The hardest part of all this adventure is the vegan part. I wouldn't survive it with such strict diet. Anyways, have you ever looked into theme parks? Theme parks such as six flags and cedar fair offer dining passes good for every day of the year? Besides being entertaining theme parks with water parks, they also include free lunch, dinner, snack and drinks all season long. Every day of the year. For example, Six flags charge $150 per year for each season pass with the dining pass included. It is real cheap. I traveled to different theme parks and didn't had to worry about buying food or drinks since it was all included in the season dining pass. My favorite recommended theme park is Knott's berry farm in Buena Park CA. Their food is top notch and the area is awesome. They have gyms on every block and the beach is like 10 miles away. Disneyland is 7 miles away. I did this mainly to explore the country I live in. That is USA.

Question for Nikki or anyone who might know the answer? I’m thinking about car camping& getting a dog. My biggest concern is that part of the video where you couldn’t stop itching after you found the tic. Lol that’s me all the time especially if I feel like there is too much dirt in the car. How do you manage keeping your sheets clean with camper sleeping on them with you? I saw the lint brush, but do you ever feel super itchy from the dirt or dog hair? Also if you go somewhere that you can’t take camper for a couple of hours, have you found it affordable and easy to keep camper anywhere (dog sitter,kennel)? Do you feel like campers been helpful with protection during your journey, especially as a solo woman? Even though camper seems super nice, do you feel like he would be protective over you ? Hey Nikki, I'm not sure if you recall but I wrote to tell you I had a 2008 green Prius like yours (not in as good of condition). I just replaced it and the dealership took it in trade (so I won't be donating it to camper cares ;-( ). I purchased a 2021 and was VERY disappointed to learn that the new cars have an auto shut off so you can't run the car in standby with the A/C on for hours which I did to sleep in. If you have a good contact at Toyota it would be great if you let them know many Prius owners like to leave the car "running" in standby to use the a/c so it would be great if the auto-off feature had an override in the settings.

My mom got Lyme Disease from a tick bite and it's no joke. She cannot walk or do anything without assistance. Be careful. It was an almost microscopic bite when they were moving from Mississippi to Florida. She is in hell.

If you really Love Camper you would have him in a restraint (seat belt for dog) could save his life. I don't move my Truck until my dog has her harness and attached to seat belt. If you are involved in a accident your dog could be a projectile right thru the windshield.

It is refreshing to see you eating a salad and enjoying it so much. I'm getting tired of eating chunks of dead animals. I can't say it any other way. Eating meat is disgusting. But what about chicken? They would die of old age and if they got eaten then they taste like oiley rubber bands. And cows, they are big. One dead cow can feed a family for a year. It wouldnt taste like rubber bands, only good year.
