I have worked for Asda in Radcliffe for just over 22 years and when you have worked there for along time you do seem to care about the shop it’s like a second home if you like you job
I went through a tornado warning in Dayton at a Walmart in 2022. The workers knew and performed their roles with ease and confidence. The tornado was on the ground less than a mile from the store.
Love reading comments and seeing them from my neck of the woods. Checking in from Springfield. Good to know the employees took their training seriously. 🙏🏼🌟🙏🏼

Super fast amazing woman employee! Loved how she was in total control! This is so needed in case of an emergency!! Just awesome! God bless all employees!
@@catlamp4135 yes I agree. True love is shown, not hidden with invisibility, it's daily actions of kindness and selfless actions towards others. I agree I want a new God that actually loves humanity. Not an old fantasy story book.
I worked nights at Walmart years ago and one time it poured rain all day and was still pouring all night to the point where people were leaving work and going home. I was like leaving because of rain?!? Pffff. Well by morning everything was flooded and we were stuck at Walmart. We cleared out all the clothing racks and set up cots and sleeping bags, TV's with dvd players and coolers with drinks and snacks and the national guard started dropping people flooded out off at the store. It was insane. Gave people whatever they needed we just had to scan it first but everything was free. But still we ended up having to rope off most of the store and escorting people to the merchandise because everyone was just stealing whatever they wanted. Lol. I was there and awake for like 32 straight hours.

I was AP Specialist there and had to do the same thing one day when a hail storm came... it hit hard. I cut the power off manually to my doors I was posted at and informed the present public inside that it was dangerous outside & stay inside the store for safety concerns. Management and AP Officer were on the contrary and forced my safety appropriations measures to the opposite... Gallons and gallons of water/hail entered the vestibule and cartroom. The second set of entry at Grocery was twice as flooded due to neglect and non action of other employees. I felt very ashamed of the coworkers that was on that shift and, detested their inadequate work ethics.
I was here that day, baseball size hail punching holes through the skylights almost hit my wife. My brand new F-250 had 125-150 dents with an 8K repair estimate. One of the cart corrals flew 80 feet across the parking lot, cart were flying out slamming into cars. The noise in Walmart was insane. I have friends that posted pictures of completely shattered windshields. Many homes need new roofs and new siding as a lot of the hail was blowing sideways. It was a crazy storm!

If that's the worst you've seen you would have dropped your jaws at the hail storm that happened in Round Rock, TX & surrounding areas in September. Car dealerships there reported 750 cars in their parking lots were completely totaled by the baseball sized hail totalling $27 million in damages. Homes were damaged as well as other individual's cars. My daughters rent a home together there and they were lucky enough to get their cars inside their garage in time so they suffered no damage but I'm surprised the windows in their home weren't busted out. They sent me two videos of the storm they took from inside their house and the sound was deafening. They were scared!
Yeah, I live in Leander. We sustained over 25K worth of damage to our vehicles and our roof in that storm. It was baseball sized hail just pummeling everything in its path. Thank God for good insurance. It only cost us 500 bucks for the deductible.
@@lauramckinney-wallace6853 - Wow! I bet that was scary to go through. I live about 20-25 minutes East of Round Rock and we didn't get hit by that storm thankfully.
@MLMLW it was very scary. It sounded like rocks falling out of the sky. I genuinely wondered if our roof would cave in. We watched our cars (we can't fit them in the garage) have baseball sized holes from the hail. It went through the glass like a knife through hot butter. I've never seen anything like it before or since. I've been through earth quakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and ice storms, and this was right up there with them. It felt like God was angry.
@@lauramckinney-wallace6853 - Oh my goodness! My daughter took a couple of videos and sent them to me and I've never heard anything so loud. I've also been through a Cat. 1 hurricane and tornados and that video ranked right up there in the terrifying storms category.
They're not looking to stop a flooding of the store, they're looking to protect customers and employees from a tornado. Hail storms typically accompany tornadic activity.
@juanherselman9837 no both are hella abusive companies! Workers deserve respect and proper compensation for a LIVEABLE WAGE!! They both can afford it after all, but are just hella greedy corps!
That's exactly why you and I would never be selected as managers. Walmart and corporate America know what type of people they need to put in these type of positions. We would say we'd not hurt in ourselves. Walmart will be okay. She says I'll do it I'll do it.. SMH

Yes. That’s true. I know some Walmart employees who have retired and work part time for extra spending money and something to do. Yet many struggle to support their families with the low pay.
yeah, so why are these two people acting like they are paid enough? 🤣 like bruh you only get paid 13 an hour, stop running for Walmart. know your worth and walk to the other door
I'm not saying they don't need more money because we all need more money, but you have to realize that if they give them more money, they'll just raise the prices on everything to make up for all of the raises given which brings it right back where they started from. It's a catch 22.
This is what owners should look at And appreciate employees like these that care enough like it’s their place. They didn’t have to. They could of easily not care but they DID!!!!!!

Wow 😮 that's insane in Europe and UK things like those don't really happen ,so never been in situation like this. The worst we ever had was 5/10 minutes of medium but still small hail and still it was like 2 out of 10 compared to this video. US I really crazy when it comes to weather 🙈
I worked for Walmart for years, during a tornado(in New Mexico we hadn't had one since before I was born) we had to literally plead with people to not stand next to glass Dorr and take pictures but to head inside for safety. People are just so dumb and just lack common sense.
Nope. They were not. It's a part of their training. So its within expectations for the employee. They most likely would of been fired if they didn't do this

You’re not supposed to. That was in the training. Essentially the company does not want to pay for your medical bills if they short or kill you. I quit in 2015
they could get murked doing that. corporate literally tells employees to never run after them or try to stop them. they could be armed and desperate enough to use said arm. that's for the police to handle.
