Yes, I always leave them on. Never lost a reel but have had the locking nuts get loose. Nice video too, enjoyed it and yes, you ALWAYS need another rod.
i got the same rod combo except mines came with a spinning rod instead of the baitcaster and so far i love the rod and reel was even marked down from 80$ to 40
just got mine for 40$. that is great value ended at 75$. the rod alone is 60$ so you basically get the reel for free. great vid. no, i don’t keep the zip ties the start digging in you hands after a while. they’re mainly to detour people from trying to mix match reels and rods at walmart for better value. (stealing) 😂
Dang maybe I should have waited and I could have gotten mine for 30 dollars cheaper. And I eventually took the zip tie off because it started digging into my hand as well.
Yes, I keep the zip ties on my reel for extra security. I bought the Abu-Garcia black max combo at Walmart in March and am very pleased with the choice.

Honestly I liked it it’s good for the price, the only thing that was different from other bait casters is that the knobs were a little bit fatter then what I am use to
