I was once stopped by the greeter at Walmart to check my receipt, all I'd bought was a transparent storage drawer unit that you could clearly see was empty and I had the receipt in hand. To make matters worse I knew for a fact the greeter had been caught shoplifting at a nearby supermarket and the local Target. How did I know? I working at the store on both when she was caught, in fact I'd tipped off target loss prevention when I saw her in the store months after having been working at the supermarket. I was back at the supermarket and the Walmart store manager was a customer in the video rental dept where I worked, so I knew him. After walking my purchase out to the car I went back in and had a chat with him about it.

Wal Mart has 50 registers available, but only 2 cashiers working. Usually 5 people in each line. Target has 12 registers and 6 cashiers working. Usually someone waiting to ring me up when I get there. That alone is enough to not shop at Wal Mart.

In that rationale, your time must be worth a lot. For the extra 3 minutes of waiting in line opposed to Walmart, and paying $10(conservatively) more. That makes your time worth $200 an hour. Not to mention the extra time and cost in gas to likely drive farther.

Target trains everyone in the store, including cart pushers, on the the register. This way, when they begin getting a line, they can easily call employees to the registers. Also, Target as a company makes far less revenue than Walmart but STILL pay their employees better. - Fuck Walmart. I’ll gladly pay slightly more to keep from supporting trashy Walmart.

that is because they do not hire enough people or train them to do zoning correctly and make it look good the next day. for example the clothing should be colorized and sized on the displays and tables. In other departments like housewares the towels all have to folded all going in one direction and on the shelf neatly. and there is never enough people to do the job.

Personally, I am a target fan. They employees are so much nicer, the stores are clean, organized and pretty. They have better quality things. An amazing shopping experience, and overall to me its just a better store. ❤️❤️ Even though I am a target person, I give Walmart credit for their cheaper prices, and craft supplies💙

I work at target and we’re trained to assist guests (yes you’re called guests) over doing our actual work. Guest satisfaction and overall experience can make up for the slightly more priced merchandise. However if it doesn’t, Target price matches major competitors like Walmart, Amazon, etc. so Target is a win win

Target is an upscale version of Walmart. The prices at Target aren't crazy high, but high enough to keep out most of the usual shoppers you would see any given day at a Walmart. Target also looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing than most Walmarts do. I think it has to do with the lighting. Walmarts lighting is just too harsh.

I've worked at Target in the past, and I've also talked to many Walmart employees. Most Walmart employees will tell you that while Walmart is definitely not an ideal workplace, the poor working conditions and treatment are grossly exaggerated.

People keep saying that but like what like what can you give some examples like better quality name brand bread or what I can give you one example I used to buy Curve the green one from Target all the time then I was at Walmart I saw they had it bought it did not smell the same for whatever reason they get a different version than the one at Target which is really weird for example I went to Ross saw the same cologne bought it it literally smelled like throw up I returned it went to Target bought that one smelled fantastic but that's just one example can you give me one of yours

Yeah I’ve been able to get an entire outfit under $12 on clearance At target. It depends on what you’re buying. But yeah other prices are not that bad. The quality of the Walmart products is equal to the price. You get what you pay for.

Target has a discount program on their app called “Cartwheel” and I ended up saving more money on my purchases than Walmart. You can even use your newspaper coupon with Cartwheel without having cashiers questioned you about, unlike Walmart.

depends on what you need. If you have kids and with no Toy R Us anymore its not even close when it comes to toys. TV's not even close, home improvement equipment, not even close. Target is good for home decor, no doubt but beyond that it's stinks.

After working at a Walmart i saw the other side of what the associates go through. the bulling, threatening from assistant store managers, customer being rude demanding and simply acting like spoiled children yelling at the employees because they could not lower the percentage off any further the it currently was. Not realizing that if the store did that it would be giving it away.

I love both for different reasons. I’m an hour and a half from the closest Target, so I shop more at Walmart. I definitely prefer Wal-Mart for grocery shopping. As for decor, I prefer Target a little more but have found some cute finds at Walmart too. I love Joanna Gaines’ line at Target but equally love Ree Drummond’s line at Walmart too. I love both! 😊

I’ve worked both target and Walmart. What I can say is I’ve never had my hours cut at Walmart. Target has a bad habit of cutting your scheduled hours if profits aren’t high enough. They also tend to call you on your days off to cover others shifts. I’ve never experienced that with Walmart. As for the raise of wages, they’ve literally been bouncing back and forth for the past few years who raises them first. It’s a matter of low unemployment leading to greater demand for workers.

theldun1 when ever I go to target (at least where I live) I always can leave with a full shopping cart and not pay as much as I do at Walmart. Every store varies per location. I live 2 miles from my closest Walmart and about 15 from target but the Walmart 25 miles away is way cheaper than the one closest to me compared within a few hours difference. Well, Target wins, no surprise there. As for Walmart, you pay for what you get. There's always a price or cost for something & everything. Cheaper prices equals to lower quality of goods or service toward the customer. People don't seem to get that nowadays, if you want good service go to Target, if you want cheaper goods go to Walmart but don't expect service to be good.

Agreed with Walmart yesterday my dad and I went and we saw ripoffs of big brand coffee it was a 18 pack k cup for $4.00 the main brand was $18.00 for 18 it was a Walmart brand that had the cheaper value to.

News reports told of consistent empty shelves, of basic staples, at the Canadian stores, Target not understanding popular foods,like ketchup chips. And then, I was working at an order fulfillment warehouse that sent out Target's signage. Stuff going to Canada would sit in Customs for weeks since they didn't know how to process them. It was a huge mess. Target just didn't do its research.

I have both a Target and Walmart near each other. Walmart is more crowded and is open 24 hours, while Target is not. Also, Walmart has a bigger grocery section than Target and Walmart's clothes section tends to be more messier than at Target. I liked Target's Pharmacy and hate that they sold it to CVS

In Walmart you can straighten your department plus 2 other ones and come back to your department and it look like it was never touched so you have to start straighten the department all over again starting at the front of it. Because it look like you never touched it.

I loved the video❤️❤️ I have always been a Walmart girl since college in the late 90’s. I only been in Target a handful of times and it was okay. I do like that they have Starbucks in their stores now. Even still today I always think of going into Walmart when I’m at the mall and never Target. I just overall love Walmart⭐️⭐️

Target wins by a landslide. Walmart technically wins price wise, but I've got to say, Target can beat them there too when you shop stealthily. That's my method, I just wait for stuff to go on sale, and because it's Target and items are typically higher quality there, the stuff that's left on sale is still the good stuff :). It's a win win. And Target is SUPER relaxing and pleasant to shop at. The only time I look forward to going to Walmart is during Christmas time, their Christmas display's are better than Target's for sure.

YESSSS!!! Even during the holidays, I have cashiers at the end of the aisle asking me if I was ready to checkout. I never have to wait at Target. Target is a better shopping experience but Walmart has the cheaper prices, though Target also can have better quality non-grocery items.

I’ve seen many many cheap people at Walmart but not much at Target. Every time you go to Target, you see employees around asking you if you need help with something, but Walmart you have to go around find somebody to help you, and unfortunately they’re not helpful at all.

*Clear winner here.. TARGET 🎯 !! In my experience it’s not too overly priced compared to Walmart just a few cents more, stores are clean and never too crowded, I like the huge assortment of products it has! It’s quality is superior to Walmart! So obviously Target wins! Haven’t shopped at a Walmart in a year but I always shop at Target*
