Sam’s club 1000 thread count are amazing and literally last for years. I wash and put my sheets back on and have had my current set FIVE years. Yep. Love them.
I have bought all kinds of sheets , still hands down , the Linen sheets are the BEST!! I know they cost more , but omg they feel so good !! Plus they get softer after each wash , I love them ! ♥️♥️♥️
Four or five years ago Target carried Fieldcrest sheets that were amazing. They had the most luxurious feel and had two rows of elastic on each corner of the fitted sheets. It broke my heart when they stopped carrying those sheets. I’ve bought Boll & Branch and other sheets since then but none of them compare to the Fieldcrest.
I purchased a cotton/bamboo blend set for my mother in law fourteen years ago from Target and she loved them so much she had me get her another set and about a year later she wanted another one and I have not been able to find a reasonable priced set since. She loved how after each washing they got softer. I could kick myself for not buying myself a set.
I searched Fieldcrest sheets in Safari and found them at Target, JC Penney, and Amazon. I have no idea if they are like the ones you got years ago but you might try searching for them in whatever browser you use and see if they are. Good luck and I hope this helps!
I always put the pretty side down so when you turn it back it looks nice. I'm a huge fan of linen and if you aren't on a budget they are pretty soft immediately. Love Restoration Hardware linen!!
I love Cuddle Duds fleece sheets for our WI winters. They are so soft and cozy, it's like sleeping on a cloud. We turn our heat way down at night so sweating isn't an issue.
I was taught to always put my flat sheet on upside down to show the pattern when it is turned down..✨ of course flat sheets have gone by the wayside by the millennials and younger. They just like a quilt on top of them and nothing tucked in! 😕
YES I’m not the only one who’s grown children don’t like a top sheet! I love climbing into them both 100% cotton. And they are not all the same. But, yes both top and bottom sheet and pretty side slept under and turned down. Love it! ✨
My ALL time favorite sheets are from Sam's. They have a sateen stripe in them and are usually around $69 to $79. They hold wonderfully, are so soft and cool to sleep on.
I am one of the pickiest people about sheets!! I’ve bought 150.-200 dollar sheets. Once I found the 100% cotton sheets (hotel style brand) from Walmart I’ll not go back to anything else. I absolutely hate all of Targets sheets, I’ve tried them all!! So for a very big change Walmart has something that I LOVE. Lol
I have purchased the Walmart hotel style sheets for years. I normally wait until Black Friday because they would offer a higher Theresa count for $25 no matter the size. I’ve bought 500 thread, 800 thread, 1500 thread. Had my family do the same. We love the cost, look, feel, and durability. This year they had the 800 thread for $44 and I didn’t buy because I felt that was not a deal because it was regular price. But I still have some I haven’t used. Will continue to buy them.
Always remember that when making your bed, stand at the foot of it facing the headboard and the tag will always be on your right bottom. I bought a fabulous set from Amazon, so soft!
Where the tag is located can vary. I had read somewhere that on king sheets the tag is on upper left, And I have sheets that have a tag that says top or bottom on it in the middle!
We love the Biltmore sheets from Belk! They are more pricey but we usually get them when they are on sale for Black Friday. They are still going strong after years of use!
I normally put my sheets on wrong side up so when I turn down it looks pretty. I just got some new sheets at Costco that were on display at entrance and really inexpensive so I couldn’t resist. I bought one set, as they were 100% polyester microfiber and I prefer 100% cotton. To my surprise, they are my favorite sheets. Washed twice so far and no problems. We’ll have to see how they hold up.
I also love Wamsutta sheets and I looked there recently to find some and I could not. I've got some Wamsutta sheets that I bought in the '70s that are still good.
So fun this video was! I’d love to buy my sheets from Dillards, but I’m not into paying that high price. I have brought the Dillards sheets for my sons full size beds. I love that you were accommodating ALL people and being price conscious. Great job!
I always loved the shabby chic collection that Target use to carry. They stopped carrying them like 2 years ago at my local Targets, but they were amazing quality. I have to admit I still prefer Target or Costco for sheets.
Boll and Branch are the bomb! A little pricey, however, well worth saving up for. We’ve enjoyed ours for 4 years so far!! Look like new. We do switch them out for winter flannel or microfiber.
I just bought Boll and Branch for the first time and they actually weren't as soft as I expected? Was disappointed I spent so much money. What am I missing?
I love bamboo sheets! I bought them at Tuesday Morning. Some sheets with polyester pill up. That drives me nuts! Years ago Macy’s Charter Club were my absolute favorite. Soft from the git go!
Good video - I'm with Jason! I'm guessing that over time the poly blend sheets may pill and get a little bumpy. Also, I like 100% cotton because I think cotton breathes better than polyblend. I do try to fold my sheets and pillowcases as soon as they are dry, and that seems to cut down on the wrinkles. (It also does not give the cats a chance to get into the laundry basket and sleep there!)
Nice comparison. I’m glad you tried the cotton/poly blend. Normally they are too warm for me, but I have old sheets that are ridiculously soft that are a cotton/poly blend. For winter, I sleep on the cotton hotel style sheets from Walmart. They’re soft and warm. But the rest of the year, I prefer 200 thread count percale or linen sheets. Linen feels heavier but is the coolest for sleeping. I prefer it over cotton. Linen changed my life.
The last sheets I bought were from Kohls dept store big one brand i believe. and we love them. I believe they were micro fiber 600 count and very reasonable! Very soft and still holding up nicely. Yes I too always put them on like you do, where the printed side shows when you flip over making the bed. My mom worked at Gimbels dept store bed and bath dept and taught me to put them on that way when I was a teenager! Lol Great video!
I love Target Simply Shabby Chic sheets and comforter sets. The fitted sheets have elastic around the entire sheet, have deep pockets, and come in a lower thread count. The fabric is soft and the accent trim is pretty and feminine. They are costly but they go with my style. For winter, I like Martha Stewart's flannel sheet sets through Macy's. Great quality, pretty choices, great price when on sale, and warm & cozy. I make the bed with the patterns facing each other so that when I fold the top sheet over, it's pretty side up.
I know a few people who lived the Simply Shabby Chic bedding and I’m sorry to report that Target no longer carries it. Run yo your Target and see if you can still find any on clearance, but I think it’s been a little while so 🤞🤞. I hear, but didn’t look myself, that you can find it pretty readily still on eBay, even new stuff, as resellers buy up all they can find of that sort of thing knowing there will be devotees who will want it. Hope you find some to stockpile! 💕
I can tell you after working for a elder care facility. The woman who did the laundry said that the sheets that came from target always fell apart compared to the ones from Walmart. Towels too. They may look pretty but they just don’t last
Love your videos! I found your channel last week and have been binge watching your content. Thanks so much for all that you do and all of the wonderful inspiration
I’ve been a subscriber for quite a while now and I just love her. With all she has going on she never fails to be upbeat and always so kind and sweet. And as you said, she gives so much inspiration and is such a wonderful person.
My most favorite sheets are pottery barn yes are expensive but usually I get them on sale. My most favorite ones are Queen size & I have had over 20 yrs!!!!! Feel wonderful! Only for guest now lucky them!! Cause now We have a king size bed...sometime I will get some more on Sale....
Hi there At our AIRBNB, we use only white sheets. I got a set from Amazon and ordered three more. I also use the triple sheet method at the AIRBNB. At home I also use Amazon sheets using the traditional method .
I appreciate that you used a product that we can access in Canada as well. We don’t have Target but we do have Walmart. Even if it wasn’t the intent please know that I appreciated that aspect a lot. Thank you
I put the top sheet upside down for it to look neater when you fold it back. Interesting that my husband likes the crispy feeling of starchy linen. It just seemed more breathable on him and cooler. When we moved ,new bed is a king,, still using those wrinkly sheets. They are crispy and feel fresher. They will need time to be broken in ,to get softer. Love your warmth…
JC Penny Home Expression sheets are the bomb! I was told to get the Liz Claiborne, and I did, but I loved the Home Expression best, especially for the price!! ♥️
My favorite sheets are from JCPenney. Wrinkle Guard…100% cotton….they never pill, smooth as glass. I sleep nearly in the raw (I know TMI) so it’s important the sheets are smooth & cool. Love them.
I have found wonderful sheets at Burkes outlet store which is here in Texas. I don’t go in there often but when I do I always look at their sheets. They were $20 for 800 thread count and they have held up beautifully.
I love sheets from JC Penny! Liz Claiborne Luxury 600 TC Sateen Wrinkle Free Sheet sets! Last ordered some in June 2021 - and for a queen set I paid $62.99 delivered to me!
I loveJC Penney’s . I find there queen size sheet affordable soft many colors to choose from. My husband is oily all over and I find them easier to wash that out and the color doesnt run. And most of all when we do sweat they hold up best. I change our sheets every three to four days. I have tried Walmart and targets sheets and I have found them to ball up and my husbands says those sheets feel like someone went to the beach and put the sand in our bed.Thank you for sharing and hello to the both of you…
I have the EXACT same sheets on my bed from Walmart. I love them and so does my husband.❤️ They wash great and still look amazing after 3 months. I like that they have polyester. I hate wrinkled sheets.
I love Peachskin brand sheets. They come in a bunch of pretty solid colors. They’re soft and cool and excellent for hot flashes. They dry in a flash. I love them, my mom does, my sister does and so does a friend who bought them and her super picky husband does too. They’re sold online.
I always put my top sheet so when you fold it the nice side is up. Thank you for the information. I don’t have instagram account so if could update on RU-vid that would be great. Thanks
I have found some amazing sheets at Tuesday Morning, but even though they were deeply discounted, they were around $200. This would put them out of the price range for many people. They have lasted forever and only got better with age. They were a very good investment. It might be something worth saving up for.
I use the Target sheets. The polyester ones don’t allow as much airflow and the Target ones were very soft after the first couple of washes. I do iron the pillow cases and the band on the flat sheet just because I like the crisp look it gives.
We only buy 100 percent organic cotton now..... after researching polyester found that is plastic...which can be toxic to our bodies gassing off as we sleep...so we try to go with the more natural approach....i thought your point with the linen sheets becoming better and softer with time made a lot of since...I believe the cotton will get better over time too .... thanks for sharing 🙂 fun video
I put mime on the same way you do. I usually go for 100% cotton. I hate the sheets that end up with the little "fuzz balls" don't know what else to call them and usually after several washing is when they get them. I like Kohls sheets and Penneys but they are pricey. thank you for doing this. I love your channel..
I noticed with a little poly, they might feel softer at first. But they are not absorbent and can feel clammy. Plus the worst is, the poly soon develops those little pills and you feel like you are sleeping on sand. Great vlog!
I’m not into crunchy sheets. For the price point, I would go with the Walmart sheets. I’m 76, and it’s amazing how the price of sheets have gone up through the years.
I had been pleasantly surprised with the quality of Walmart's Better Homes And Gardens sheets and they are all cotton. And Target's Threshold and Opalhouse are great too.
My mum always had the “ jersey “ t-shirt sheets. It’s like sleeping in a tshirt. Very soft and cozy for winter. I’m living with my mum as she journeys through Alzheimer’s. I was always taught right sides together for bed making. Then you pull the pretty side over the blankets. I’m guilty of only using a bottom sheet and then a very cozy thin minke blanket that I’ll wash with my bottom sheet and a duvet for warmth.
Thank you! I need to buy sheets soon. Loved what you said about which side up to put the flat sheet. I remember my mother and mother in law "discussing" this as they helped me when my husband had back surgery. LOL
My favorite sheet sets are the house brand, CharterClub, from Macy's. Just all around good quality, soft, durable sheets. King set is a little over $100 on sale, but only two pillow cases.
Top sheet is always top side down when I make my beds. My bed size is Olympic Queen, so Amazon is my most reliable source. I buy Egyptian cotton, which are thick and a bit stiff, but they are my husband's favorite.
The Target sheets are probably a short staple cotton. If you want nice and smooth look for long staple Egyptian cotton. I use Wal .mart sheets and they’re perfectly acceptable. Years ago I had some swiss cotton sheets from Land’s end but I don’t think they sell them anymore. They were dreamy soft and smooth. Also years ago I had some wonderful Fieldcrest Charisma sheets that felt like silk but were fine combed cotton. Most of the sheets now are made in India and just not as nice as sheets used to be. I have heard goof things about the sheets from LL Bean. I may try them when my Wal Mart sheets are shot.
We live in Kansas also. It has been so cold, but a little warm-up coming. I love Sonoma sheets from Kohls when they are 30% off. Wish they came with 4 cases as I do put 4 pillows on the bed. Great video.
Yes, I like the pretty part of the sheet to be in the turned over top. I’m also wondering what sateen is? Some sort of process to the cotton I’m guessing. I really like the blue pattern. Rey crisp and clean looking. 👏🏻 I like my sheet material to be thick, nothing worse than thin cheap cotton.
