From Season 13 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 15: Willie and the Yank Part 1: The Deserter which originally aired on January 8th, 1967. This adventure story, set during the American Civil War, is presented in three parts: The Deserter, The Mosby Raiders, and The Matchmaker. A young Confederate private, Willie Prentiss, is assigned to guard duty at a lonely outpost on the Rappahannock River. He becomes friends with his Union counterpart, Cpl. Henry Jenkins, and the two spend their days talking to each other across the river. This unusual friendship takes a new turn after Willie accidentally shoots his commanding officer and Jenkins helps him escape a court martial by disguising him as a Yankee.
