Francesco Brosolo tony jay god rest his soul did both speaking and singing of Judge Frollo in Disney's The Hunchback Of Notre Dame an amazing and chilling performance singing Hellfire
Strangely enough, there WAS a Kaa planned into the show...he was a puppet that was positioned where Mowgli is in the tree, and his scene was supposed to be right before the Elephants enter. They cut him before the show opened.
I don’t know why this attraction was retired. I do acknowledge the release of another jungle-themed Disney film, Tarzan. Though it was entirely possible for The Jungle Book to stay, that is, if it hadn’t been outvoted by Tarzan.
I’m not gonna lie but this is better than the Jungle Book theatre show that was in Chichester. The Chichester one was a disaster. Everyone hated it but this, this is A MASTERPIECE!
Let me guess this show was later replaced with Tarzan Rocks, which was later replaced by Finding Nemo: the Musical, right? I wonder why I never got to see this alleged Jungle Book show.
Stony Ace You are making those stories up. Journey into The Jungle Book came into Disney's Animal Kingdom in the first place. But then, Tarzan Rocks came into that place second. Finally, Disney Pixar's Finding Nemo: The Musical came into that theme park later on.
RatiganRules Well I herd during production on the movie itself there was another Character or Two that were cut out. One is Rocky the Indian Rhinoceros & the other is Tabaqui the Golden Jackal, shere khan's Lackey & servant. those other two characters that follow Rudyard Kipling's story were cut from the movie. But there was another character that was also part of Rudyard Kipling's story Jacala the Mugger Crocodile. Unfortunately Jacala wasn't part of the list of Characters for the movie. But in the Disney show Jungle Cubs Rocky the Indian Rhinoceros was seen from time to time along with other Rhinos. Including Jacala Well doubtful that character was pronounced as The Croc. Plus, there were also a few other Crocodiles seen now & then in the show Jungle Cubs.
I wasn't talking about which characters were cut out of the Jungle Book, I was talking about why Kaa and the Vultures (who were part of the movie) were left out of this show here.
Probably because they needed to reduce the show to 30 minutes and thus had to remove sequences with characters. I also think that a costume for Kaa would be difficult. Of course they could have just used a puppet of his head and not shown how the rest of his body was attached. As for the vultues, costumes would be easy. Making them fly would be the challenge.
RatiganRules Well I know that AKA I know what you meant. But I was just referring to this as an example of unseen or unused characters from my comment 10 hours ago.
+RatiganRules Apparently, at one point Kaa WAS in the show, and voiced by Jim Cummings to boot. I can't find a single picture of him in the show, though.
@@CIPS0396 Well he's not THAT unfortunate looking. He's got a nice body just that wig and the big red diaper kind of kill the vibe. But its not like he's a ten year old or anything
Wow I thought this was a high school performance. Mowgli is supposed to be a young boy and they get a man with muscles and a weird wig. I feel bad for the audience. They surely didn’t get their money’s worth.
Crystal Lynn Garcia Me, too. This Disney show needs to be back at Disney's Animal Kingdom, not Finding Nemo: The Musical because that one Disney Pixar show should've been at Disney's Epcot. Plus, Tarzan Rocks should've came into Adventureland at Disney's Magic Kingdom.
Great show, but I do have 2 problems with it. 1: the scenes with Kaa, the Vultures, and with Shere Khan hearing about Mowgli in a conversation with Bagerah and Hathi are cut. (When the movie goes to Broadway, that's a big no-no) 2: Almost all the dialogue is from movie. Some don't even fit the situation. (When Mowgli encounters Shere Khan, he should say "Who are you?")
Well I think its because there's a lot of liablitiy, and the show probably ran 7 days a week, about 3 to times a day. To take a child out of school mutliple times probably was to much trouble, etc.
This jungle book is not but animal kingdom is because it's at Disneyworld not Disney land Disneyworld has four parks and Disney land only has two parks
Shiny Skies No, it's not. But it should be back at Disney's Animal Kingdom because Finding Nemo: The Musical should've been at Disney's Epcot. Plus, Tarzan Rocks should've came into Adventureland at Disney's Magic Kingdom.
