With an extra day and time to kill in Florida, I had lunch at the Contemporary Resort and spent a few hours watching the monorails go by from various locations along the Magic Kingdom line. Locations are shown in the order a Resort Beam train would encounter them beginning at the Transportation and Ticket Center. The Walt Disney World Monorail System uses 12 Bombardier Mark VI trains to carry over 150,000 people per day between the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and the resorts on Seven Seas Lagoon. The Magic Kingdom line opened with the rest of the resort in 1971, and the Epcot line was added in 1982. The Mark VI trains replaced the Mark IVs in 1991 and have been in continuous service since then.
