I can't get enough of the lights going off all together in sync with the announcer man. That is just so cool, so regal, so in order! That's the way the show is supposed to be ran, cleanly and uniformly.
This is an excellent video! All of it! I was probably not even 1 year old yet when you filmed this. lol. What a treasure. Thank you so much for posting it. I can now see the similarities and differences between WDW & Dland's Main Street Electrical Parades much better. Thank you. I just wish you had've got the Fanfare of Lights and Closing Announcement.
And even some of the floats from Disneyland in 1998! Specifically, they got part of the Dwarf Mine scene and all of Pleasure Island. This explains the absence of these scenes when the parade is now shown at the CA Adventure.
Well if I ever was there during Christmas I definitely would have but since I've never been there DURING Christmas that means I don't have any. The only Disney Christmas parades I have are the ones that I've been taping ever since they started showing them on ABC.
Anyone else think it's funny that no one has complained about the caterpillar that is obviously getting high on whatever he is smoking (and is it coincidence that Wonderland characters in the parade are on mushrooms?) This is an amazing parade, though! Spectromagic is beautiful, but it can't beat MSEP!
I've seen The Main Street Electrical Parade, and I've seen Spectromagic. As good as Spectromagic is, I wish that they would bring back the Electrical Parade.
@Disneydanny I think the streets are wider in DisneyWorld then they are in Disneyland, seemed that way to me when I was in Disneyland, everything seemed like it was on a smaller scale.....
@MrLamontSanford true. while i'm glad California's floats are being used I wish WDW had invested the monwey to buy their floats back from Hong Kong where they are currently in storage.
Too bad that particular version never appeared in any album form. The only one from Florida that did appear was the one from when the CA version came to WDW for a few years from 1999 to 2001. In that one, Walt Disney World was replaced by Magic Kingdom. The announcer was very different, too.
Does the 15th anniversary float have music? If so, is it anything like the castle float in Disneyland's Electrical Parade, meant to represent that park's 25th anniversary?
