Hey guys, Becket (P1) here! This video explores a recent discovery I made regarding hitting in Mario Sluggers, and confirmation of the Waluigi Glitch. Join our Discord server: / discord Follow us on Twitter: / sluggersfanclub
What's crazy is that the power difference in charge timing is pretty small for the rest of the characters. But for Waluigi, he gets a MASSIVE boost if you time it right.
@UC_oIQBMIWS_wVHHDxL_F3Ow I get that it sounds stupid to preach about something that many find obvious. But the difference in power for charge timing is so small that many people (including me) thought there was none. And I don't think many kids figured out the waluigi strategy ;)
Hey, I hit a home run with Waluigi WITHOUT charging up, but it is VERY BAD quality, you can’t even see what’s going on. Should I upload it or film one with better quality?
It’s really interesting to see more being discovered abt the game, such as this glitch. Also, with the type of hit being predetermined, the question becomes what is causing the probability of it being a home run to increase/decrease on any given pitch?
I guess I underestimated Waluigi in this game. I always had trouble landing a hit with Waluigi at bat, but this is a really neat discovery! Waluigi certainly had some tricks up his sleeve and I didn't even know it! 😅
I honestly thought that when people told to charge late with waluigi that they were just memeing, but after I saw your video I went to test it out myself. The first time I charge late with waluigi he hits an amazing dinger and I was speechless. I'm definitely will try to incorporate waluigi into my team after this.
In Superstar Baseball, there's an RNG seed on each pitch that will give you the same trajectory for hits as well. I'm not sure when it's determined but it's possible that it looks several pitches or even follows a sequence for certain at bats. Not entirely sure what the specifics are but it seems to be a similar case for Sluggers.
@@MarioSluggersFanclub Yep, definitely seems like a lot of stuff got carried over which is pretty neat to see. A lot of people don't notice bc the communities are pretty split.
theres other players who have crazy slap hits such as magikoopas, king boo, boo, and boomerang bro. Whenever these player hit the ball in the air to the opposite field, it keeps carrying and carrying
I remember using Mario as a batter then I did a late charge swing and it was hit when the charge zone was big but I somehow got a slap hit it was confusing.
I feel like this could be related to the pitch being thrown, and not about the game predetermining how much power you swing with. Like you could be getting the same result every time because it was an identical pitch from the CPU, not because the game deciding how much power each pitch can be hit by your bat. Idk though, just a fan of the game 😂 #BringSluggersToSwitch
The level 1 cpu throws pretty much only 2 or 3 pitches regularly, usually throwing a non charged pitch most of the time. It’s pretty easy to see that you can get very different hits even with the same pitches. #BringSluggersToSwitchOrANewGame
I remember in Mario Superstar Baseball there was a batting tutorial that mentioned timing your charged bat swings to get a more powerful hit. Though, I don't remember if Sluggers mentions this in-game as well. However, I didn't realize in Sluggers that hits were predetermined. I am wondering if that is also the case in Superstar Baseball as well?
I really don’t like that the hits are predetermined it’s so bad for competitive play. Even if you get the read and good timing on the pitch it should be a HR but it is a fly out sometimes. That’s just bad.
@@MarioSluggersFanclub A "perfect" hit isnt always a dinger but it is usually a good double or triple, in sluggers the good hits that weren't dingers were line-outs
