In this video I replace the old hood springs on my wife’s 2005 GMC Yukon with a hood strut kit from Wamrods. I gotta say I’m really happy with how it came out. Super easy installation and well layed out instructions.

Thanks for the video, my hinge spring bolt snapped off in the fender, Wasn't happy about pulling the fender off to drill out snapped off bolt , do to no room at all !! This is a really nice fix Thanks again

I dig the shocks but what’s the point ? If the springs does the same ?

The springs after a while will start to rust even after repainting them. Plus it’s something different.

if you decide to get new inner fenders, the stock springs wont fit most of the time

Much cleaner look question I have the same cold air intake on my truck at 2,000 rpm it slams power down do you got the same issue

Awesome setup and clean engine bay. Did the hood still open as high as with the springs? Some pictures online the hood looks lower but maybe it's the angle of the camera. How are the struts holding up after a year?

They still hold the hood up at the same angle. And so far the shocks are still as stout as when they were new

Yeah unfortunately I live close to a small airport where they have a flight school. I didn’t realize how loud it would be on camera 😂

Just be careful closing the hood so the front middle doesn’t bend I’ve seen those hoods do that if You put too much pressure

Birthing wrong with them just trying out something different. Just like wheels, why do people buy bigger versions of aftermarket wheels when they look the same? It’s just my personal interests

Be patient brotha it takes 3 times as long to revive parts around these holidays. Also where I work is busy this time of year and I work 6 days a week. Videos will hopefully be coming back soon
