This episode's commercial references Lagos, Nigeria when Wanda accidentally blew up that apartment in Civil War and killed innocent civilians

The big thing about this episode to most readers was that Evan Peters played Quicksilver in the X-Men universe (now part of the MCU). So the whole world was going nuts with excitement that this was the 1st step towards the multiverse.

In Marvel, Wanda and Pietro are twins raised in Sekovia. In the X-Men universe, they are children of Magneto and they are named Quicksilver and the Scarlett Witch. Same real name in both universes, but they employ the superhero names a lot in X-Men. This Quicksilver is from the X-Men movies. Pietro Maximoff is a stand alone character from Age of Ultron. Both Pietro have the same powers.

About the Lagos commercial….at the beginning of Captain America Civil War they were in Lagos trying to find Rumlow. Wanda accidentally exploded that building full of people trying to save Cap. “When you make a mess you didn’t mean to.” Keep paying attention to the commercials….they are important!

That really is the actor who played Quicksilver but from X-Men Days of Future Past and subsequent X-Men movies. It's a little misleading but there was a reason they put this actor to play Pietro.

By this point in the MCU's, Wanda's been through some serious sheet. - as she told us during Age of Ultron, Stark weapons blew up her home and most of her family. - Pietro and Wanda were experimented on ruthlessly by Hydra - Ultron turned on her and the entire human race. - Pietro, her last surviving family, was murdered by Ultron. - The whole world turned on her after Lagos, when she made a split second decision that went wrong. Yea, lots of people died, but just as many would have if she'd done nothing. - Stark basically imprisoned her with Vision as a warden. Although she was able to make friends with Vision. - Civil War happened, she got imprisioned in the Raft. - finally had some happiness in her life with Vision - Thanos / Infinity War - Endgame. Everyone blipped got a 2nd chance, including her, but the one person she cared about most, was still dead. It's fairly safe to say Wanda is, minimally, under severe mental trauma / PTSD. Does that absolve her of all responsibility, no, not really. But it's hard to blame her for deciding the world hates her and she's going to carve out SOME of what she should have had, one way or the other.

So the Pietro at the end is actually the actor who played Pietro in the Fox's X-Men universe. In very shortly put - Marvel Studios had agreement with Fox that MCU will use Wanda and X-Men will use Pietro, but now Disney has bought Fox and Marvel Studios has rights to mutants

Evan Peters is the Quicksilver (pietro maximoff) of the Xmen movies. When they revealed him in this episode, everyone went crazy since this was the first real "connection" the MCU had to the X-Men stuff. After years of fans wanting Fox's X-Men to join the MCU, I think u can see why that scene broke the internet for a bit.

Really good reaction, guys. You are at the point where the entire fandom was going insane with speculation from different camps on the internet with their theories. Evan Peters showing up was huge, and when you catch up on some future projects, it will make more sense. The above observed? There were key questions that were asked at the time. You're asking them; I'm impressed. As a story, the director and show runner and writers are doing a great job at keeping the viewer's guessing. You're guessing. The creative team knocked this one out of the park. Elizabeth Olsen. This is some fantastic acting. She's now done 4 decades' worth of sitcom genre acting while keeping to the core of Wanda. Honesty, I only knew her from the MCU prior to this, but WandaVision made me seek out EVERYTHING she's done...and she's really, really good.

The confusion is on purpose. Fans were on the edge each week trying to figure out what’s going on. Speculation and theories kept people, and RU-vid theory channels, busy. It was kinda wild watching this unfold in real-time.

I mean, Wanda created basically a pocket dimension kinda thing where she subconsciously controls everything. Truly, she's just that powerful, guys.

I thought the scene between Wanda and Vision was riveting. It seemed like the first "real" conversation that they had.

"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" is the sequel to WandaVision in my opinion. So much to come..... make sure to continue watching in release order (TV and Film).

I really really want you to watch X-Men franchise, because there are alot of references in upcoming movies not only references according to the marvel future movies you must watch it and fantastic four movies also.

As others have said he played quicksilver in one of the x men movies. Our first tie to the x men considering that they've been marvels. It just so happened that somebody else had the rights to them and made the movies first so He couldn't be included in the m c u until now.

If you have watched the Xmen movies you would know this is Quiksilver from those movies.

Now I'm in doubt if Wanda's brother Pietro Mercurio in Xmen is Magneto's son, so Wanda is too.

In the comics, Wanda's main power is to bend, alter and create a whole new reality, aside from Probability Manipulation in the form of Hex, which was the first ability she had during her early times as a super powered individual. And not to sound rude but why do you keep insisting on the idea that it was all in her head, despite the number of evidence laid out? *Monica's bulletproof suit, which is made of 80% Kevlar, still remained how it was inside her sitcom. *Monica's realization of Wanda REWRITING REALITY; and *Darcy's theory of her house (props, sets and wardrobe) are pure solid matter.

Wanda suffered trauma after trauma after trauma. She should never have been allowed to wander off alone without extensive therapy. Sam, her teammate, really screwed up. The sorcerer supreme really dropped the ball too. The MCU also so far lacks many of the tight female friendships so prevalent in the comics. I hope that changes, but now I have to wonder thanks to the loud dude bros.

Obviously I'm on the side of the good guys but that argument that it's not that bad for her to have thousands of people hostage because it could've been thousands more might be the worst argument I've ever heard. That's like saying a murderer is not that bad because he could've been a serial killer if he didn't control himself. What?

I'm thinking that it cannot be just about Wanda doing this, it would be too simple. If we put aside the sitcom life it doesn't make sense that Wanda would be doing it all for no reason. If the "extreme" is possible then couldn't there be a spectrum of other possibilities along the way? It can't be just a choice between a zero and a ten... what happened to the other nine possibilities? Thanks
