I like how the singing follows not the primary melody, as you usually see in a song where someone has added lyrics to an instrumental piece, but a slightly embellished version of the secondary melody. It gives an interesting impression like she's singing a different song alongside and complimentary to the original.
I was just thinking, the singer or singing style sounds like something out of an Akira Kurosawa film. Specifically, the song sung by Princess Yuki in The Hidden Fortress.
that be kool I think that's why people want remakes to see what todays systems can do with the games we enjoyed back in the day I agree maybe a sequal would be better be sweet
Careful what you wish for. It may not even be close to being the same game it once was if they remake it. They've changed drastically as a company. I already fear for the FFVII remake.
DHIBZ Gaming Although I was not born at the time, I wish I knew this golden age of final fantasy when new games came out every 2 years until ff13 I played each of the FF games and the 6 is definetly rhe best for me, it's the only one which I wanted to finish no matter what, and I did
it's the same feeling as eating something that reminded me of mom's cooking. being somewhere that reminded me of home. some of our fondest memories will be the ones when we were kids.
Finished this game Jan 2016, my favorite of the series so far, really dig all the compositions, and Terra's theme, was always one of the best, really love the vocals version too~~
This is the first time I've heard it with lyrics. I used to have the version with out lyrics on my ipod. But this just makes the beauty of the song 1MILLION times better.
Fantastic version of this song, the vocals and tune just draws you in. Definitaly the BEST F.F song ever. Just for those who don't know.. these video clips were taken from the PS1/PsX version of FF6, after completing the game you would unlock the opera song with full fmv. Its a shame really they did not incorperate these sequences throughout the game instead of as an unlock feature after game completion.
A spanish version if anyone wants to try it out. (Suggestions to improve the lyrics are welcome) OBS: Not translated word for word because it lost all meaning in Spanish like that.
This game was a gem. 4, this, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14 were dear to me. But to be honest, all were... Just a shout outs to my faves. This song and Sephiroth's theme will always be god-level
Beautiful, I know there are more vids with this song in it, but I had to come back to this one and fave it. I seriously hope that FF VI comes out for the wii VC. Thanks for the upload!
I love this song ... I'm so happy finding it here again to listen to it again... I think last time I've heard it is already something like 2 years ago or so... Would still love the mp3 of it sometime...
It was 2 headed, not 2 sided. Sabin's head and Edgar's head. "He and his brother, Sabin, originally have no interest in inheriting their father's crown, so they decide to use a coin flip to determine who gets to walk away. He later reveals that he allowed Sabin to win by using a special coin given to Edgar by their father, specially made with two heads, one of Edgar, and the other of Sabin."
I definitely agree. Amano's art and characters + Uematsu's music were the essence of Final Fantasy. It was truly magical. Then angsty teen characters with emo hair became a thing in the series...
@@esper4645 both changed some of the systems, so they could count as remakes.... bad remakes, though.. Also, I didn't even call it a remake in the first place ;-P
