Wandering in Northern Wilderness. Harvesting Birch Sap 

For personal reasons, had to spend last week in McKenzie Mountain Wilderness, NY. I can say with all frankness: that forest is absolutely incredible and it reminds me the place where I lived as a kid. The majority of the wilderness is trailless and hard accessible. Silence, no people, just deep forest.
I had no plans to search for abandoned places in wilds, although found a few hunter shacks and dam ruins.
The birch sap harvesting season is almost over, however I tried to tap some trees.

I search and explore alone ghost towns, historic, abandoned, haunted places in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. My explorations are based on local creepy legends and old maps research and aimed to discover something new in urban exploring.
