In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I believe this idea of 'literary wandering' is important in order to hear the voice of people of color in America in the 20th century.

I like the idea that you can wander through reading and be free, but there are some limitations for different races that many are unable to be seen.

Loved the Ted Talk. Opened my eyes to the privilege and oppressed in the literary world.

There are racial restrictions that a lot of people don't see because it's the "norm" to think of it in that aspect. Hopefully everyone across the world can have the ability to be free and wander.

Insightful talk! In a diverse world with people of different backgrounds and walks of life it is important for people, children and adolescents especially, to wander through multicultural and intersectional creative works, so that they can learn about the world and feel empowered in the representation they see.
