I think the Mclaren F1 would actually be terrifying and near undriveable in this sort of environment. The F1 has lots of body roll and very low downforce for maximum velocity. Couple this with it's MR layout and I'm sure you would need ice in your veins to be able to control it on the unpredictable Wangan.
I also forgot to mention the Mclaren F1 is incredibly overcomplicated, fragile and expensive to run. Parts, maintenance and support force owners to heavily rely on Mclaren themselves. VinWiki did a very good video on what it is like to own an F1. You could almost call the Mclaren F1 a scam.
@@penguinmaster7 that’s tough. You could look for 280zx’s on marketplace. They’re extremely cheap and now that you watched this show you are somewhat knowledgeable on the L-series. You’ll be surprised by their price.

The daytona was used for nascar, doing 200mph on a oval track and doing 200mph on the wangan is two totally different things, I bet the daytona wouldn't even get anywhere near 200mph on the wangan
i think because the z and the blackbird and the show is based off the midnight club and one of the members had a 280z and it is called the "devil z" i think thats why
No it was a different time. Also cars in Japan are strictly regulated in top speed. So if a car that is faster than the cop cars top speed , they wont even try to chase because they will never catch you. This was true back then , I'm not sure now with our current technology.
1000hp is a big power in that day, and it is impossible to control that power unless there is a person who is crazy enough to handle that kind of power.
