the save by tsuchiya on the mrs when he floored the throttle instead of going with his instincts and hitting the brakes turned what was supposed to be a crash into a spin.
2:00 It's hillarious that Orido is the one who crashed and jokes around while tsuchiya lights a cig nervously like he was the one who did it. The reactions are the complete opposite
I don't doubt the he's a great racing driver but sadly his cars are either not driver friendly or poorly tuned by their respective tuners. Look at the first Arvou S2k it somehow goes rebellious to its driver and difficult to control, secondly look at the 370Z it doesn't change direction that easily and lastly the red EG6 seems too dangerous to drive. Unlike other Touge tuned cars like J's S2K, Feed FD or Assist BMWs which are driver friendly in winding roads
The small time garages don't appear on the show. Tuners appearing on this show is the top. If a car crashes because of driver's fault, then BM pays for it.
I think the line-up of Tsuchiya, Max, and Nob is great but they had other line-ups that weren't as good, chemistry-wise. (I generally liked all the other drivers, and it was nice seeing opinions from so many pro racers, but some could be boring).
The Seeker Civic was a mistake tho. Like a legit mistake. The 1st crash was due to the same issue where the brakes were too tight and instead of slowing the car down, it overbraked and locked it up causing the car to understeer and that should have been a sign to not set the car up for battle again when it already went off course during testing but when they checked the car, they deemed it ok and due to it having just a cracked bumper from the 1st crash, they removed it and sent it out again which was a biiig mistake. As it turns out, the brakes did have issue which cannot be seen with the eye and it did lock up again during battle which sent the car flying straight down the small crest and nearly into a tree. It wasn't Orido's fault this time but just the car having mechanical fault that no one could have seen it happening.
Me and my friends always do that when one of use crash back in the old days, I still remember when I got laugh at for almost a month because of my stupid crash where I miss the brake paddle, god it so cringe... How on earth did I miss the paddle, just thinking about it make me start laughing
i hecking love the fact that DK saved that mr2 by flooring the accel instead of breaks so that it spins instead of kissing that wall and i also respect max's full send driving style its understandable that he crashes alot because he always drive the cars to its limits
But people should know Gunsai mostly as well as certain tracks in Japan aren’t that easy, trust me it’s fucking difficult with a slight narrow road as well as major braking times.
Well he came to France for a round of KOE, that's why i met him. You can check his website for all the event he's going to participate to: www.k1planning.com/schedule
2:51 "My final ranking: I rate the Re-Amemiya up here and the Seeker down there. Actually down there, to be precise" I don't know if that's what he said but his verdict sounded savage
Lets see, 350 Z, 2000, and a Honda Civic Hatchback, and hatchback again, all doing the same thing, understeering off the track, which means they either need a wider front track to get more grip to the front, or a monte carlo bar to do the same to give both sides of the tire patch more grip or take or reduce the anti roll on the back so its not fighting them so much, as those were all controled slides with no ABS and I love how the only one that didnt wreck, was the one in the thumbnail, TWICE like who knew out of that batch of a cars, the late gen MR2 on thin flat tires, I think wasabi's was the better choice lol
