I don't think like that.because many of the people like me don't have any idea of "Chinese" novels.To be honest, before "the untamed" I didn't know these actors . I am sure there are people who are watching this drama without knowing those kind of things. .In my opinion ,off course the story is very unique.And the actors did it well. That is why this drama became successful.

Just finished watching The Untamed on Netflix, i'm seriously hooked to this drama, i can"t even expreseed how much i love the cast, the story, the ost 😭😭❤️❤️ XiaoZhan and Wang Yibo acting, expression and gestures are splendid, all the actors did a good job too, i cant even find any flaws, definitely the best drama i watched in 2019..

Long story short some woman 👩 with a pretty gutter brain wrote a “ novel that was highly R-rated where she used the name of Xiao Zhan but described him as person with gender dismorhphya that by day worked as a teacher and by night in a R club that seduced an underaged student 🧑🎓 called Wang YiBo and had relationship with. Then people pretending to be Xiao Zhan fans alerted the real fans and they called on the site to take down that mess, but the stuff went wrong because of government involvement and platform firewall so they took down the Ao3, but Xiao Zhan and his fans had to bare the brunt of all accusations and got his accounts hacked, his family and friends menaced . Now some of the fans of Xiao Zhan hate on Wang YiBo because he didn’t speak up for Xiao Zhan at that time. But that would have made the things worse seen that his name was also implied in that trash novel and probably it would have been never ending. The whole idea is that some companies that have artist of their own got under the foot and glory of two young idols pretty green both. The company of YiBo worked hard to salvage situation because they would lose a cash 💰, while the company of Xiao Zhan did nothing and left him to deal with the mess by himself. Now the people behind the 227 are still pushing fans of both YiBo and Zhan to war inciting hate between fandoms. Both of them said to their fans the same things to not involve in hate and badmouthing other stars and fandoms. But just the true fans follow this advices . I have seen my share of hate comments on some channels here in RU-vid some even add the BJYX to trap the fans of the CP and brainwash them to hate on YiBo using the argument that he his company were behind 227 . The actress that plays with Xiao Zhan in Douluo Continent is from same company as YiBo, would they ruin the career and prospects of their own artist by sabotaging Xiao Zhan?
