No. Not possible. You'll only get to Senegal and then fly in from there. But if you ask me, no matter how much you think you'll be saving up by travelling by road to Cabo Verde, it's not worth the troubles you'll face on the way. Not even the slightest bit!
For a Westerner, the cost of living compared to say, the USA and some western European countries, may be lower. But I find Cape Verde to be one of the most expensive countries in Africa. In the last 10 years, I've been considering moving to Cape Verde but I find that one month's rent there would pay for my rent in Nigeria for a whole year! When I look at the water bill it's as high as am paying in the USA. Now, y'all listen to this: DESPITE ALL THE NEGATIVE THINGS THAT SOME NIGERIANS SAY ABOUT THEIR COUNTRY, IT'S STILL THE CHEAPEST AND LIVE-ABLE COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. If I were to be making money in Cape Verde, I might consider moving there but it's a very small country with a little economy. Even if I were a nomad, why wouldn't I look for a cheaper country? Just my ¢2!! Thank U.
You're absolutely right in saying that Nigeria is the cheapest and live-able country, but some people like myself prioritize other things such as safety, peace and quiet and stable electricity above the affordability of the standard of living in Nigeria 👍
You are very correct, im currently in carpe verde and im so shocked by how expensive the country is . And in my opinion you don’t get the service worth of what you’ve being charged for. It’s a nice city but it’s the most expensive African city I know and I really don’t think it’s worth it .
@@Uvys_Vlog 👩🏽🦱 Thank you for giving insight about Africa. In addition to the important priorities that you mentioned about living in Cape Verde, there are many more priorities that African Americans, like myself, would appreciate about living in Cape Verde. 🇺🇸
I would like to see how I can live here. I’m in Praia right now. I’ve only been here for a day. I would like to see more with your help if you have time.
Hi, I would really like to sit down and talk with you. I’m in Cape Verde now. I’m just learning Portuguese. I’m from the United States. Thanks in advance, I’m looking forward to chatting with you.
Informative content 😊 I am Italian I was wondering what are the best places in capo verde, which islands do you recommend me for first vacations there? Thank you 😊
👩🏽🦱 I noticed that you and Valerie, who also makes videos about Cape Verde, speak (extremely) fast. 😂 We do not speak that fast in the United States, so it is difficult to mentally and physically note what you are saying without repeating the video. Therefore, please slow down when you talk so that Americans can understand your important information, because Americans watch RU-vid videos, and RU-vid is an American company.😁 👋🏽 👩🏽🦱 🇺🇸
Hello. I'm pretty sure that there must be good schools that your child can attend here in Cabo Verde. You may want to check for some of them online. Although, not all schools have an online presence. So you may only find them after you've arrived here in person.
Hi and thanks for this video. I am a Nigerian digital nomad. I'll like to come to Cape Verde. I would like to know if there are primary schools with English as a mode of teaching. I ask this because of my kids education. Thanks.
Hi there! Thanks for watching my video ☺ Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no school where the language of instruction is English. But they do have an immersion program for primary and secondary school students to learn the language to an extent before joining their mates in the normal classes. Hope this helps ☺
Based on your sister's recommendation, I have been following your channel and I love the helpful information you provide to people. I just wanted to say keep up the good work
Hi Uvy… I love the content and the information you spit out. I would love to travel to Cape Verde this summer but I’m lost how to go about since we have no embassy here in Cameroon. How do I reach you directly so you enlighten me ? Thanks in advance
Thanks Ivy for this costly information. Please what type of good paying work/job can one secure in Cape Verde. Can you be of help to me, as I really wanted to relocate.
Thank you for the information. How is their economy like? And is it easy to get a job. And what's the possibility of relocating from their country to another country.. To European countries precisely.. Thanks
The economy is thriving as their currency is pegged to the dollar/euro. But with regards to getting jobs easily, no. It isn’t easy to get jobs and it’s even harder when you don’t speak language. That being said, there are jobs but you have to really search for them 👍🏽
Olá! Well I'm not 100% sure, but there are quite a lot of doctors in Cape Verde already, and if you don't speak the language, I'm not too sure how you will attend to patients 😦@@onifadehassan

Kindly write me on Instagram under the same name for all the information you need 👍🏽
Hi Uvy, what would you say to a 17 year old English speaker who wants to do undergraduate studies at Cape Verde. There are no English speaking courses and Portuguese is quite a challenge I am told.
Well, at the moment there are no English schools that I know of and even though the Portuguese grammar may not be as straightforward as English, you can rest assured that you will be able to learn it in no time since that is the main language used in the school environment. Hope this helps 👍🏼
Hi, how do I get in touch with you? I see your social is not working. I am in the UK and have some questions for you. Really appreciate it. I am more of an email or have a call kind of a person.
Hi there! Just seeing your comment. If you're still interested, you can reach out to me via email at euniceeyowel@gmail.com. Not sure why the socials didn't work, but they should work now 😊
Question ❓Do you have any suggestions of cities that are good investment areas because I'm looking to buy land in Carbo Verde in parts of the country that could be upcoming real estate markets of the future and that currently is safe of high crime against tourism and that also has emerging tourism promotion and are building up hotel/Airbnb/retail shopping etc?
Hello. Praia is the best city for investment for sure. This is usually where most businesses come to setup their HQ before branching out into other businesses 👍🏼
Hi there. This is a great question. At the moment, I am aware that there are sometimes cruise ships that come to Cape Verde, but I think that also depends on the country you’re coming from.
This is a great question. Even though English isn’t the official language, there’s still quite a number of people who speak English. So you can always ask people if they speak English when talking to them. But I think trying to learn the language before you come is still the best way to go about it 👍🏽
Hi there! Unfortunately, I cannot assist you with this at the moment, but you could try searching for some job listings on Facebook. You just might be able to able to get an offer letter 👍🏼
@@Uvys_Vlogplease 🙏 help me out my princess I'm in love with cape Verde, I'm a single young man who is searching for green pastures and life partner, please help me my beautiful friend, I stayed in the Gambia which is closed to Senegal right now
Based on ur sister's recommendation, I landed on ur channel. En passant ton accent en Français est parfait & voir une Nigérianne parfaitement bilingue c'est super cool. 🤗
Hello there. I think the language barrier may also be an issue unless you speak Portuguese. Skilled labour may be easier to navigate as there is usually provision for some form of language training or you may meet people who speak English. Hope this helps 👍🏼
@@Uvys_VlogHi Uvys am planning to travel to Cape Verde, my mission is to find love(white or perhaps half cast) am an Ugandan! Any bit of advise in achieving my dream? I humbly will be greatly grateful
Hi! I like your video. Your sister recommended your site. I am a retiree from New Jersey. Do a US citizen needs visa to visit ? Is Santiago ( Cape Verde ) a place to retire ? I would appreciate your feedback. Thnx
