If they only knew what is going through our heads. All of it, the complexity of the job at hand, our safety, the safety of them standing around, the heat, the pitch, the cramping, and the wishing we would have bid it higher😅

Keep in mind the extreme Heat and other stress factors on this particular day took a toll on your mental state and affects your mind and body, and unfortunately homeowner added more unnecessary energy. You still handled it like a Boss! ❤

And you will feel much better, it sucks dealing with these types, and about breaking the home owners fence and stuff, next time get that on a video or in writing in case they change their mind later. 😊

I had a client like that recently that wouldn't get off my back. Was doing a storm damage prune on a large ponderosa and almost everything was hanging over their really nice deck and involved some technical rigging. It was a stressful situation on it's own but the homeowner felt the need to be outside watching everything and trying to bark orders and backseat prune everything I was doing. At a point I had to politely tell him he's just adding more stress to an already stressful situation and to just let me do my thing. You get a lot of different flavors of clients in this industry and sometimes we gotta deal with the less then enjoyable ones to get that check. Anyways stay safe up there man and appreciate your content!

Man , I have sure been there.. this was a nasty , uprooted, rotten oak stem laying into a sugar maple tree on a hill real tight to a house and the lake was on the other side. I can’t remember if we put the removal on here or not. I may have put snippets of it in a video and the whole thing in another. Anywho.. One point the home owner says “Elijah I think this is going to fall/go that way” or I think this will happen or that may happen. I had 3 ropes in the uprooted stem for support. One locked off with 7/8” rope (which was overkill I know but it was all we had) , two portowraps with 5/8”. I literally said “Jon, what would you WANT me to do”? And at that point he said he knew he shouldn’t say anymore and that he had no idea because everything was truly in control. It turned out perfect. What’s ironic is whoever had the tree down just cheaper out and left the log standing far too long and it ended up rotting out completely. Everything was lowered down smoothly , we rigged out the end weight of the stem first then trimmed a couple branches back for when the stem was loosened up. It was perfect. Sometimes it’s best to leave the professionals to figure out the puzzle because it’s all just that.. a whole puzzle. We know we can do it but we can’t explain how it will go 100% because the plan changes 99% of the time once you’re in the tree. Nicely done ! It isn’t easy being cheesy, there’s easy and there’s hard ones and also annoying ones unfortunately
