I live at the lakes at annecy in the 3 story town homes. You need to read the HOA CC&R's especially the parking rules. The are very similar to +55 community rules. You are only allowed to park in the garage there is no on street parking as it is only for guests.
This particular community unfortunately does not have either. 1) Gilbert is not near really a mountain. Use Google maps to get familiar with the areas that do have mountains nearby. 2) This is a townhouse community, there are no single family homes. 3) There are new single family homes in South Gilbert starting in the low 500s. These are also closer to the San Tan Mountains but I wouldn't necessarily say these homes have mountain views. I hope that helps. 🙂
We completed build and moved in Dec 2000. Our house (model 5x) is a stand-alone detached, as is the model 6. It's a corner lot property in Parcel 1 which borders Val Vista Dr. You get the benefits of condo living with no shared walls. Location to San Tan Village, the 202, etc., is amazing, and we have porches + a patio to enjoy a bit of outdoor living. The complete package!
