Purchasing the cheapest ship SV Tide for around 9000 spesos... thinking the ship is garbage at first but after renovation it could hold stand against multiple high tier security ships.

I think this demonstrates why there needs to be ship to ship combat at some point, while in this case it is just good fun running from sec and them not being able to do anything if applied to pirates they could just run forever until sec gives up or has more pressing issues then go back to looting player ships. Sure sec could EMP but the counter play of deconstructing and rebuilding APC's could be used for that just like you did. Also I think the admin telling you to stop with the APC rebuilding thing to avoid EMP's is warranted now, but when/if ship to ship combat is added I would say it should be allowed since it wouldn't be sec's only reasonable option anymore.

Ship to ship combat would definitely contribute to quality of gameplay’s variety and would bring something new.

yeah I agree, we were just basically running a gag, but if we were serious criminals and properly built the ship there would be very little sec could really do. Its too easy to just pop out the APC board and reinsert it. In my opinion, EMPs and other events should probably be associated with the board itself and not the device\machine to avoid issues like this. Actual antags could then have the option to acquire thrusters, gyro's and other machinery which had Insulated or resistive boards which either was not affected or had some type of resistance to the effect. Maybe an optional ingredient you can put on finished machines, like a faraday cage haha

This is such making yourself the antagonist and it breaks every rule posible, but I wish this was more commun in the game. I mean the game doesn't have antagonist in its own so why not self antagonist. Becoming a pirate seems like too much of a hazle when you can be a greytider

We didn’t actually break any rules sec chased us because we didn’t stop to let them board us we were never hostile against them and just ran until the admin told us to stop remaking apcs to counter emps

I don't think he or is crew made themselves an antagonist ever, they just boarded random ships without doing anything making sec think they were pirates leading to that super long chase. All they did was be annoying in a way that would be seen as possible antagonistic behavior, which is silly but fun.
