God, I remember seeing it, at this theatre even. I'll never forget it. There's some things that are so good, they never leave you, but instead encourage you to write sappy things on youtube.
Saw this in October on Broadway. The puppetry of the show is amazing but what amazed me was the broad range of emotion I felt. I've never attended a play where I felt giddiness, terror, relief, and so many other emotions that are so hard to feel as an audience - but this play MAKES you feel as though the events are personal to you and that's what keeps people in the seats at this show.

I loved the book and wanted to see the play. I saw the play and it was amazing. The actors really are the horse and they way they work together is fantastic. I'm really looking forward to the film. I have heard lots of good things about it so far :)
I read n own the book it was the saddest but most beautiful story about a horse ive seen by far. Cant wait for the movie n i wanna se the play so much!
Lauryn Clasper I miss War Horse now. This was my last time seeing it I saw it six days after my birthday this was for my birthday surprise I wish you saw my reaction crying and shaking all day
The frame's made of lightweight cane & plywood as the body, and the skin is nylon mesh, to see through. the head, weighing probably no more than 15 pounds, is supported by a joint, and puppeteer. The puppet probably doesn't weigh any more than 50-70 lbs, and the 2 puppeteers inside carry equal weight on their backs, like backpacks, and connecting them at the top, but 1-2 feet above each of their heads. That's what lets them to carry a person like a horseback rider, and be agile and flexible, too.
wait, the goose is an actual "character"? the one in the movie that nipped at people's heels and honked like crazy like a guard dog? I knew it! lol! I NEED TO SEE THE PLAY! I probably won't get around to reading the book, but I am dying to see this play! The puppeteering looks outstanding!
We may be going to London this summer so I'm hoping that they'll be playing it when we get over there. Amazing puppetry, looks a lot better than the movie! Can't wait to see it!
MakiLotus I’m going to see this play in July 2018 and it will be my second time seeing this. I first seen it on 1st November 2017 best experience of my War life for WW1
I was! Cried through the whole performance. Saw it again in Cardiff and the saw Joey and Michael Morpurgo at Iddesleigh. The best stage performance I have ever seen.
Can anyone tell me: How is it that the puppeteers are strong enough to hold up the puppet AND a rider? There must be some kind of load-distributing harness inside?
