Week 1 of 2 for our WotR set. Good game this one. I felt like I had a good start, then it went terrible, then it picked up again. But was it a victory?
In this video Chris and I play War of the Ring with the Lords of Middle Earth expansion. No rules, just straight into the action. This video has me playing the Fellowship and Chris the Shadow.
As always, this is mostly a raw recording. I cut some bits but otherwise its the whole thing - TTS fails, thinking time, tactical genius, skilled dice rolls, questionable audio, and great fun play.

TTS looks alot more handier than the Java based game.

The LOME rules throw me off. If you are going to use the default template set-up while playing LOME new rules ? BFD? Split up the Fellowship to begin with,. Go there, go non-vanilla, as that is what the expansion was designed for , not to merely add more rules to know, IMO. Otherwise the new game mechanics just introduce complexity for no better return and confuse "Vanilla" followers. LOL LOME as it was meant to played, set the fellowship companions all over the place, from my POV, it favors the Fellowship alot more. to begin with. Iwas wondering if that was true.

I love that you can use LoME with the setup options, and love the new minions and lord's. It adds a lot of strategy into the game for sure. I'm pretty sure that our next game on Monday I'll be putting at least 1 companion into areas on the board instead of the fellowship too. But still there is no reason the basic setup wet have been using isn't a valid option anyway. Like our most common won condition is a fellowship ring victory. So that kinda says the setup is good for it. Any less in fellowship might be a change for the worse. It will be exciting to find out :)
