At the part of the movie where they were fighting on the hill, if I were the President, tactical nuclear weapons would be hitting the battlefields. If that didn't work, I'd be talking with the Russian, Indian, UK, Chinese, French, and Israeli leadership about using strategic nukes to deny the invaders the planet by sending it into a long term nuclear winter with as much of the surface irradiated as possible.
