Bruh I just got to rank 7 aircraft after watching this dudes videos and it pisses me off how many mig-23mld just pick off dogfighting enemies it’s always mig-23mld
Man the other guy initially did everything right, even if he didn't hit his shots he would probably eventually have beat you in the rate fight. But then, one single mistake and he gets killed. This game can be really unforgiving when you go against good players.
When 2 planes of similar combat levels get into a fight 1 single mistake can completely turn the table. Of course this is even more enhanced if one of the planes is, generally speaking, dominant on the other (e.g. J-35A and J-35D)

How hard can it be? Go slow Put landing gear down Activate flaps Air brakes Keep throttling up and down Touchdown and brake hard Includes drifting left and right to stop faster
@@justmrcrow well if your playing rb or arcade those gears doesnt matter, the important thing is that you dont break the aircraft too much, just glide slowly and you should make it
You were going much faster as you were diving down so you ended up in front of him, your best bet was to keep it a little more horizontal but still incorporating the sort of diving loops until it turned into a spiral which the j-35 would excel at. Or I could just shut up bc 90% of my jet games boil down to me flying strait in and getting 2-3 missile kills and then dying 😭
Lucky for me, since I do a lot of 1v1s with a friend of mine who has grinded out Sweden, I've learnt how to force a draken into a rate fight, especially using planes like the G.91 or the F-86. At that point I just patiently and gently pull 3 - 5 Gs depending on how fast I am. When the opponents is getting nose on me I climb a little and start pulling harder so that it has no way of hitting me. Keeping this up for a couple "merges" and then at that point the draken will be too slow so it will either try it's best to keep fighting like that, it will break off to gain speed or it will try to make me overshoot, but when the opportunity comes I either manage to light 'em up or I overshoot, but thanks to the speed I was able to retain, I just go vertical and go for another approach as it slowly tries to escape
excellent explanation with the double circle and circle fight, you did very well in this fight, lot of players doesnt know about that, and mentioning it will encourage others to learn🤘🤘🤘
I haven’t played the J35, but my suggestion would be to try and transition to a rolling scissors by reversing your turn in the one circle. The high AOA and speed bleed of the Draken should put you behind them in 1-2 passes.
I don't know what's funnier, you believing that BFM exists to a serious degree in War Thunder or the fact that people unironically play this game whilst claiming how bad it is.
With a rate fight with the Draken, you really can't stay in you need to cash in and not miss your shots otherwise there going to outrate you and win the Draken is the king when it come to beating someone in the initial turn and that we're you have to punish your enemy now Im always using the j35D which probably performs better then the premium varient
The Ja 35A turns worse in the higher altitudes. The highest I generally go is about 4k m up, and you don't want to drop below 600 km/h for too long. If you do drop below 600 km/h it'll be a lot more difficult to regain speed, and you also don't want to be pulling constant turns with the ja 35A for too long because it'll bleed speed like no other jet in top tier. He could've easily killed you if he was a better aim because of the attitude, and your slow speed, but luckily for you he went way too wide. If he did 1 more tight turn he probably would've won
