Rolim Got my 2A5 recently, and definitely don't enjoy it as much as my 2A4. Still have a very positive KD in it, but there are significantly more times where I want to bash my head on my desk with the 2A5 vs the 2A4. Hoping it is just mostly stock syndrome.
I love those maps like stalingrad, autumn map with single cap and (50x50 meters map version) or big ass map with single focused cap in center of nowhere with no cover for one side (usualy ours)
The thing i love about this tank: When the enemy misses the gunner/cannon breach, the leopard 2A5 will shoot back, and the leopard 2A5 will probably oneshot. The perfect survivability with this tank is what i love about the Leopard 2A5. Currently im grinding for the Strv122, just so i have even more of this :D
@@pascal171 Not too bad since the hullbreak mechanic changed a little while back so you don't always instapop now. You just have to play smart, use warlord backups and you'll fly through the tech tree. Took me 2.5 weeks but could be done quicker with more time, make sure you play with squad mates as well as they can help & save you out massively. If your not in a squadron join one, I'm CO of one if your not

Whats the Meaning behind this? I still dont understand why those Numbers in the Optics are helpful. I know that you can use a Keypad for Zooming in a bit in your Gunner View, but i still dont understand if those " Zoom Levels" are helpful or only for show ^^
I’m kinda new to this game and I’m stuck between (USA, Germany, and Russia) for USA I really only want the Abrams and the grind is not as enjoyable only bc I have no interest in any of their tanks, Germany Im the furthest just unlocked the Leopard 1 so I wanna pursue that since it’s the closest to top tier, and for Russia Im only at the IS-2 but (aesthetically) I love how tough and aggressive they look and I feel like they’re probably more my play style, but I’m just having trouble sticking to one since idk what I really want...so I was kinda looking for some advice!!
Dude your shooting is insane! Btw with regards to the gunner, noticed it as well with the loader. Something weird going on with the crew positioning 2A4 vs 2A5. I think the loader is sitting in the 2A4. Will check tonight.
I have both the 2A5 and M1A2. Between them, I like playing the Abrams more, as it feels a bit more versatile than the Leo, but I tend to do better in the 2A5 and win more matches. Something about German top-tier, they seem to win fairly often, making it easier to do well in the 2A5.
The thing is that with the americans you have a much better lineup. Kill one abrams and he will come Back in almost the same tank. Also there is the Adats which is one of the best AAs.
@@lordtachanka6489 yeah, but Abroombs are way easier to kill and also very expensive to repair. Respawning over and over will only mean a total loss of SL for you even with a good match
@@bickboose9364 I would say that Leo is easier to kill. In my experience a frontal or side hull shot is one shot 9 times out of 10. Only hull down Leo is a though target. That being said i don't have an Abrams but it usually takes more than one shot to kill it.
@@kostab92I spaded all the Abrams. Trust me, they die like cockroaches. Even the A2. One neck shot is enough to not only kill all your turret crew, but it also sometimes makes APFS bounce upward towards your ammorack. That is if it gets penned by 10.0/.3 rounds atleast. Plus there's the God awful grind for the APFS with the A1 and 2... Overall a much much shittier experience than what I had with the 2A5. Whenever I face an Abrams in my T80s or Leo2s I see them as fodder almost.
Its really sad that they lower a lot of Stats, like for the DM33 Round. Test Datas show the DM33 Round is able to Penetrate 540mm of RHA at a Distance of 1000m, the DM23 480mm of RHA at 1000m Distance while for example Russian Shells get unuaslly OP. For Example, the 3BM42 in the T80U is also made from Tungsten ( instead of Depleted Uranium) and Test Datas show that the APFSDS Round ( Nicknamed „Mango“) is only capable of penetrating 440mm of RHA at a DIstance of 1000m, and in Warthunder they give that Round 479mm Max Pen ( and 462 at 1000m by a 90° hit) Or the 120 mm M829 that they use for the M1A2 Abrams. Here in the Game it only has a Max Pen of 491mm, but again, Test Datas show that this Shell ( which is made from Depleted Uranium) can penetrate 540mm RHA at 1000m Distance. But its Standard for them to Scrunch down a lot of Things, like they did Years ago already with the German Minengeschosse for 20mm and 30mm Cannons ( You hit the Enemy and sometimes even with half of your Magazine emptied into an enemy Plane, it didnt get much Damage, while other Nations 20mm without those Powerful Ammo and even with some MGs instantly shoot you down when they only grazed your Plane.
Geez, gonna have to game with you sometime. I get adrenaline jitters while playing and could probably use someone to reel me back in and prevent over pushing.
Wish they didn't give the Strv 122 the unnerfed armor. The same part on essentially the same vehicle has over 100mm protection difference. Oh man Gaijin
yep thats top tier, or game meta by now, thermal spotting or go home. Got leo 2a5 but god its hard to play when getting sniped by someone 2k out since he has thermals and its so much worse when its raining or dusk with little fog then thermals have clear vision of you while i can hardly see 500meters. would play leo 2a4 but its just weakspot n tracks with expesnsive ammo
Reminds me how useless or extremely difficult might be top tier tanks without thermal on certain maps... T-72B, I am talking to you... 2A5 is more suited for BR 10.7 at least.
you forgot to mention, that even a single hit can now break off the arrowheads, meaning you afterwards have that significantly weakened turretfront afterwards which easily gets penetrated from ~10° onwards exceptionally toxic and artificial nerf
I unlocked it, and i have no complaints its a wonderful tank, but as always there is a but. Why on gods earth is there no ArmorUP kit for research on it ( the exact same kit that the strv 122 gets the germans do have such a armor kit as well, but no we cant have that because gaijin is a russian company i guess ).
Yesterday I have seen in the changelog that they have implemented that now it it possible to use rangefinder while being in the binocular view if someone don't know. In my opinion it is a BIG plus cuz sometimes there were moments in which it was really needed. I forgot to mention something. Is that extra armour at the turret ( that which can fell of ) less survivable ? I mean i feel like maybe 6 month's ago it could take some hit's and now it fells of after only 6 ( I've tested it with my friend ) and when taking a hit from a rocket from a heli even less it needed ( one time 3 battles in a row i took only 2 hits from a rocket and it was gone and in the last one I took only one hit from a T-80U and my gunner and commander were killed , not mentioning that this extra armour was gone to )
@@Likeaworm Maybe sometime in the future, but right now? The 2A5 is doing completely fine and a new, upgraded variant of an already top dog tank would not only be unbalanced but also unneeded.
Well if you think about it every shot, even on the gun area should bounce or take out the breech, but no shot on the front turret should enter and kill
"Leo 2a5, The finest of German engineering"... Oh I don't know about that... the Strv 122's armour upgrade package is german made, soooo... Strv 122 is pinnacle of German engineering ;)
The T80U is my favorite top tier vehicle, only reason I'm holding off on a video right now is to more or less save it for a special day which may come soon!
Just wonderful gameplay but I'm kinda new to tank RB and for me the main problem is that I just wanna to be more precise in my shot selection which kills me how can I be fast and accurate !!!. Please help..
How do you measure range and adjust your aim accordingly so fast? I mean I know how to do it and have what I need mapped for use but mine is never real fast and definatly not as fast as yours was working. Is it because your crews are spaded or what extra? Or are you supplementing your German crews with Pervitin? I mean what's the deal?
I do use the scroll wheel on my mouse, and 40% sensitivity for sight adjustment. Muscle memory is also in play as I'm very used to high tier gameplay! Practice makes perfect :D
I fine it easier to kill leopard2a5 than t80s..... u can one shot 2a5s if u get to hit the upper gun manlet as it will hit all 3 crew.. also the hull is soo huge its always visible lol. T80 is the best tank in the game period.
They are very similar. It depends on you: do you prefer a fast tank (25.2 hp/ton) with very good turret armor or a bit less fast tank (24 hp/ton) with very good ufp and turret armor? I prefer the strv 122 but i don't think grinding the entire swedish tree to get the strv 122 is worth it
When the xm1 gets a perfect shot on your lower plate you are absolutely fucked only if the person using the xm1 is skilled and knows how to play but a good xm1 as soon as it sees yours lower plate with both apds and apds fs Shell then say goodbye to your tank but that's for Russia and Germany bc Russia the ammo is right behind the fuel which means if you over pen the fuel it'll ignite the ammo
@@corrosiv3 Eh, the US has a lot more unfavorable BRs than Germany at this point. Germany gets more lineups and unfairly placed vehicles in the wake of recent BR changes.

@@Chris-yy5pj Did I say that France wasn't without issues? Did I say that the US had the worst tech tree? Nice red herring there, bud. Fact is that Germany has more lineups than the US and has more meta vehicles at higher tiers. I'm not comparing the US to France or to the UK or to Italy or China or any other nation.
I am still wondering how to grind this efficiently, I have the 2a4 and the l44 so I guess I just have to play them, if anyone has better advice just tell me.
