The absolute fuck do you mean everyone who plays this tank is a scumbag it’s just a bully tank at 6.0 this thing was designed in 1963 and last saw action in the Iraq war in 2006, and it fights Tiger 1s, panthers, and even Shermans. It needs a raise in BR by at least 1.0
These tanks are a blast. I can't think of any tanks added in recent time that are nearly as fun as these things. An absolute joy, and a very good replacement for the Pershing. Great video!
I'm a German main. I'm not blind or dumb but I hate this tank. I see it and I shoot it and half the time my round does nothing to it. But when I shoots me I instantly die
I’d say the german M109 is pretty good for its intended role- the mobility is great, shell selection is ok, gun depression is meh (but that’s coming from Sturer Emil) Proximity fuse shells are the best imo, cause you can kinda use them like top exploding anti-tank missiles. I’ve had great hits on enemy vehicles behind cover, especially open top TD’s. It’s an ambush vehicle, like most german tanks. And for that role, it is good.
I just obtained the German M109 in War Thunder! I 'm so happy! I started playing in RB mode and this tank is a blast. Amazing gameplay. But it is quite vulnerable (armour).
I personally prefer the mg3 on the German m109 to the .50 Cal because it is better at removing things like trees that could block your shell Edit: fixed spelling
A powerhouse with a glass jaw :D The gun on this AFV is superb and 1 shots nearly anything at it's BR. On the other hand it's armor is very thin and pretty much anything can knock it out. It's got good mobility for it's size.
One of the things that has happened to me is being an American Artilleryman, going through AIT and having the King of Battle update come out, and being put in an M109A7 unit... But also being a German main and being stuck with the M109G, I will admit it's still a great vehicle but the downsides you pointed out are my main issues. And I love the M109, granted it's a piece of shit, but not enough to swap and regrind American tech tree Also the thing you mentioned with armor, I've been told this before but the M109's hull and track is purely there to move the big ass gun it has. It isn't made to take hits because it isn't made to be front line, which is why I'd always stay near the heavies and let them push, take hits, then head out and try to clean up or support
I guess it may be due to time possibly but there is probably like 2 things that might be inaccurate: 1. Israel has both versions, the long barreled one having another name 2. None seem to have an autoloader anymore, instead all have 17.3s of reload base Still a great video!
If you use the other shells that are trimmed when the match start aim 12 on the sights and fire and you will get kills takes some practice legit artillery
I'm really, really struggling with the Israeli 109. It just doesn't seem to do anything no matter where I shoot. Cupola shots seem to just damage the cupola optics. Shooting the turret faces does nothing. The long reload and slow traverse get me killed a lot too. I find I'd much rather take out the AMX-13 or M-51. Maybe it's just my playstyle but I'm close to just giving up spading it (at least for a while).
Bro is making out like aiming with this thing matters while he just randomly shoots for any point on the enemy tank through the video, it one shots tanks 80% of the time
