It is my most flown 109 as well. A perfectly balance aircraft especially fighting against the allies. Now I feel like flying it again

i remember the old thermodynamics of the f4 , glorious and relentless it was my most used plane until they patch it with the new thermo a while ago , now i cant stand it due to the overheating issues even with MEC

I love F4... It handles spitfires so easily, even those in 5.7 br...

Iconic plane, both in WT and in real life. 1941 guys. Marseille. In my experience it is best to not use WEP much in general in this plane when not into MEC and that stuff. Climbs rather easily 1200 m/min with trottle at like 96-97%, good enough, no stress and then you have some extra power when you really need em , up high. Get into red and engine is never 100% good again. These days, 3.7 german/italian is really, really easy mode. A couple of P-47s, BVs, this plane, 205s serie 3, you must be pretty bad to lose I would say. Or have some teamkillers on team, of course, like here.. The airspawn of P-47 and BVs at BR 3.3. is very strange in my opinion. You can also climb close to 1200 m/min in P-47s, without any MEC.

Teamkillers r ruinning the game! Gaijin should do something about this! My favourite 109 is G2 but F4 is a great 109 too! K4 should be better but i like it too but without pods! Nice video Jengar!

What bullet type is jengar using ?

BF109F-4 vs. D520 = Seal Clubbing. I flew out my Brit tech tree version to see if I was having "stock syndrome" issues with the French D520 - nope, it pretty much sucks at turning and climbing if spaded, too.

Once I learned to properly fly it ,it's great....... I fly this and the g2 trop with gun pods, I do real well in it, it was my grinder....... Thanks again for the fantastic video and commentary.....

the german MG-17s are one of the best small-caliber MGs in my opinion

I prefer the g-2. It had a better engine and can have 20mm gunpods. It isn't like the other gustav models, as it is on the light and maneuverable airframe.

A truly brilliant plane, one of the most enjoyable planes at this level and with BRILLIANT guns. I fly this model in Il-2 as well and it's even better!! Teamkillers? You seem to be attracting them in their hundreds these days mate. Have you thought about naming and shaming? Nothing less than they all deserve in my humble opinion!!

I really like this plane it fits my playstyle perfectly. I also have the higher BR 109s but imo the F-4 is still the best(in relation to the competition ofc)

Jengar, how do you control your roll and cursor location so well during defensive flying, especially rolling scissors? I really struggle to fly versus spitfires effectively in the 109s and Fw-190As (especially the G-2/trop and 190A-4/A-5), any help would be much appreciated!

I hate team killers, had a guy kill me today because I opened fired on a bomber and this guy flys past and almost gets hit by me, so I leave the to go get some ground targets and he follows me and shoots me down while I get ground kills

Been seeing my fair share of team killers this last month. They don't get penalized so they keep doing this crap. Guess they can't kill the enemy so the losers kill their own team mates that are unaware or it's too late. Biggest losers in my book.

Hi jengar or anyone else who is reading this. I'm really struggling maneuvering with the mouse, especially when watching the enemy. For example when I attempt to roll over like you've demonstrated a few times, my plans just flops about trying to stay level. Can you help how I can improve this? Do you use extra controls on the keyboard? Thanks

I think i like the F-4/trop more just because of the cool camo. I think it is a little better spec wise but i can't remember

What type of ammunition are you using on the 109 f-4?

No comment on the gun pods? IMO 109s have the strongest gunpods you can get. Personally I love putting the biggest guns I can on my 109s, especially if you are hitting at your convergence. Your thoughts on them? Regardless you made a great video and I'm starting to wonder why I didn't subscribe earlier.

Jengar don't worry about losing the match you can't blame your self on the action of a teamkiller you had to get used to the mg 151

Should have used the additional 15mm cannons. So much better firepower with those.

Great review! The F-4 is definitely one of the best planes at its BR.

Ah yes, the infamous German 109's, ever since I got my hands on the B1, (or whatever the first one is) every 109 since then carried my games, I usually never touch my HE's or any other planes (sometimes the only planes I end up losing or even having to use are the 109's) and I frequent 5 or 6 kill games in AB with these things, and won my first RB match in a while and without losing my plane, with one kill too, almost got a second but bombers are stupid durable, he was heading for the border and the game ended And these results are so much better than when I was playing with my Swedish planes in the same BR as well.

hey can you please play some sim with some french aircraft

bf109f4 has a suitable br of 3.7 but will usually face p51d, f82s, p63s, typhoons and spitfires mk9. The only way to stand a chance is if the team would have some high alt spawn planes like german p47d and the ta154 to establish the air superiority and help the team gain visual, or the BVs to bait a few enemy fighters to lemming train behind them while friendlies come and pick them off one by one (of which the latter happens more often for me). My fav map to fly this plane still comes back to Bulge and Norway, and sicily is the hottest map which I take more caution when wepping with MEC. I would also consider the f4 the best 109 at it's BR because the g2 could use a little more firepower to justify it's 4.3 battle rating since it feels heavier (for idk what reason). What I do really like about the 109s is the rudder control on the plane to evade shots from enemy fighters after a BnZ attack, unfortunately I had a game on britian where my plane took a small hit from the patrol boats at the nose of my plane and a small fuel leak soon killed my engine in less than 5 mins of flight. Btw, how did you get into a low br match with p40s? I wish I had such luck with the matchmaker.

The sooner something can be done about the team killing which has started to infect the game, the better. Maybe the answer is to more heavily penalise team killing of more then one player per map? (One can be an accident during hectic dogfights.) On a positive note, great review as always, looking forward to the next instalment!
