For alot of guys who arent pros, getting SL is a struggle. Im sitting at 16k because i got a new STRV at 2.7

They haven't - you're just dumb. You don't really have any problems with SL unless you go to a high tier. Even without premium account, an average player is probably doing okay unti tier IV. Which is where the sweaty try-hards start to show up in force. WT is relaxing at tier III or under.

Man I haven't played war thunder for years , all started from Birds Of Steel and jumping right into war thunder for a year . But then I started to quit playing the game and I remember hearing to this theme on both Birds Of Steel and War Thunder , good old days.

I felt that exactly. Played from 2013-2015, returned back in March of 2021, certainly miss the old feels

no it never was about world war 2. there was sabres and mig jet since the beginning. the game was just based mostly around ww2 vehicles

Thank you for this post. It shows me I'm not the only one that gets emotional with this song. I started the first week it went public on 2013. I loved this movement then and when I heard it again after however many years, It indeed made me very emotional. My very fav part is the mini bridge that starts @: 1:46 to 2:45.

It played while i was in the USSR/Oligarchic, state sponsored alcholism tech tree. So i assume it can play in other tech trees too if you idle long enough same with the presumably non copyright old hanger music pieces. Same deal with Bella Ciao in the italian tree. To conclude this obviously lenghty reply, I too am glad the old menu music is back.

It plays for every nation once the particular nation's theme has ended once.

I think it's for all countries, I heard this in the Swedish tech tree too

Wow! I'm still at Tier 1 and reserve. (Mind you, I only started roughly 5 months I don't know if you are up to date with the goings-on, but there was a new change to the BR system, I don't know enough of the details, but it essentially changed the MM based on BR, higher-tiered aircraft mostly. It has ruined the game for a lot of people, and a lot of people have either taken a break from the game, or quit entirely.

I noticed the BR changes,as I noticed the A6M2 Mod 11 (Im still in tier 2 in japan) is br 3.3 rather than 3.7,so I think BR adjustments are correcting because why would a thing with a very short ammo amount be facing possible 4.7 aircraft? anyway I have tips for you: Use mouse AND keyboard bindings (I use Z and C for my elevators) ,because keyboard bindings have 100 percent sensitivity,which means complete control authority (I use my mouse for shooting and other simple manuevers) Never forget your spatial awarness,because a Chaika (A early russian Tie-Fighter) may be ready to dive on you And if you want to rack up SL,use the early british Want a Mixed bag of everything? (speed,agility),use The USSR (Aka Russia) Speed = American tier 2/3 Guns = tier 3 germany

something about this piece of music is just so chilling and calming that I makes me actually feel relaxed playing war thunder, I feel like I dont need to be competitive, doing what i think is most enjoyable . Until they changed it to the new music where stuff really start to feel more intense nowadays

You all just remember based of only nostalgia. Old warthunder was not better then new warthunder it’s just that your memory is playing tricks on you. It’s fine though because that’s just the cycle you will see that in 10 years people will be saying the same thing about modern warthunder. Oh remember in 2020 we had more fun? Why is that not happening now? It happens almost every time with almost every game with almost every player base.

Russian tanks have good ammo. But you can also blow an old t34 or a BT7 (yeah, I'm a tier 1-2 noob) in one shot, if it doesn't blow you first.

I've always wondered why they used the term "knocked out" instead of "killed". Maybe it's a Russian thing. Like "It's only a flesh wound!" "A flesh wound?! Your arm's off!"

I never understood that tactic. I mean, you're going to die, and at least in arcade mode, you can reload the bombs on the air to another strike. Isn't then much more clever strategy to stay on high altitude? I almost always play as a fighter and I always catch the bombers who do that. I blow them up with my 20mm :)
