The loss of TF reset is actually what is making me want to come back to feral next expansion. It was really degenerative gameplay, where you would often be GCD locked while wasting resources. I fell in love with the older design of feral, where pooling resources and snapshotting dots were what got you big numbers. It was slower and timing your bleeds and energy pool to squeeze in FBs without letting the spinning plates fall off, really made you feel like you had mastered the spec. Hope they nail the execution, we'll see
Bear is either 1) the exact same if you play Druid of the Claw, outside of throwing a Rip out on content that doesn't matter or 2) moonbear with Lunar Beam as a short CD and more arcane damage and sky beam procs. One gets a bit more DR, the other a bit more self healing, but both play nearly identical to how they play on live. Biggest change is losing the +3 yard range, making the spec feel worse to play in every way. Lets hope they do something in Beta for druid, but I'm not counting on it.
Lunar Bear also may not want to use Raze, and make more emphasis on filling with Thrash/Swipe and consuming GG procs immediately instead. Jury's still out on everything at this point, and there's probably a rework coming.

You're going to take an entire tree dedicated to mauling in DotC, give up Incarn, so that you can get one boosted rip or FB inside a convoke on a single target (which is basically about as strong as one Ravage in bear form)........ and if you went laserbear you're going to give up Ursocs when you have nearly 50% increased damage to Thrash. You do you boo.
@@WoWatNight I agree on the rework needed..... I just hope its actually coming in beta, and not "soon"(tm). I have looked at builds eschewing Raze, goig for a Thrash priority and spending rage on Ironfur with ToI. It looks like it would be a very defensive build, but less damage. Maybe good for certain content. I'm looking into a moonbear without Beserk using Moonless Night and Maul/Raze, where I trade Raze and Twin Moonfire on ST for Scintillating Moonlight. But I'm more a raiding bear, so consistency over long fights is important.
@@Gumblethebear and thats it, you dont need ursoc shield as you have so much dmg on trash and arcane selfheal. Inc is much more based on trash+if than razing. You dont have any self heal right now and as that you need shield. There is not enough talent points in last third, so ursoc shields will probably be replaced by earthwarden as flat dmg reduc. As for druid of the claw it seems that questin is how tooth and claw will work with ravage. And if you can ravage through convoke? Omg with little bit crit playing, ravage being aoe, convoke striking as full combo point dmg and you still have up the bear buff? Crazy burst.
I was a Druid main from May of 2004 until I took time off of the game at the end of MoP. Loved the lore, loved the gameplay loops, and the flexibility. When I came back in BFA everything was more fluid and good but I just couldn’t connect with the class because it was so very neglected. Tried to keep it as an alt this whole time but it just sits on the bench(except for s2 Guardian). Couldn’t stand the general tree for all of DF. It really kills the desire to play. So far, TWW just looks like another bland layer on top of problems. I’ll still keep it in mind but this just isn’t the class I can connect with anymore.
imagine feral needing to stand in the middle of the pack now with the reduced melee range. As if they didnt die enough Also bear druids trying to gather up pulls and their trash doesnt hit anything. Feels like a really unnecessary change reducing their melee abilities
Seems like first draft. Some good ideas with bad execution. Who put fluid forms behind all that useless stuff? I would like to see some visuals. Come on, did you see other hero talents? Sunfury, Riders, Voidweaver
I'm an almost 100% pvp player, with focus on 2v2 arena and all modes of battlegrounds. I cannot wait to tear it up as Druid of the Claw Guardian druid XD
As I only play bear I didn't look much at the wildstalker but listening to you talk while running a dungeon I'm struck by how much I had wished this was made for guardians. I would love the play style over druid of the claw and you would get to choose between more off healing or more moonfire damage. Druid of the claw sucks for people like me who don't want to shift and it seems to not be what people who want to shift want as well. I hope we see a complete redesign but I don't think thats likely.
Blizzard doesn’t know what they’re doing when it comes to these hybrid classes. The class talent trees are all over the place like always. Shaman and Druid get shafted. Honestly just need to separate the caster & healer into one class & tank & melee dps in another. Create a shaman tank & do the same thing. It’s obviously too much for them to handle at its current state.
What would fix "wildpower surge" for me, is to allow to gain the bears maul/ravage procc, separately from the cats ravage, as well as allowing both instances of dots to be up on a target. Making the "additional" rage gained from the ursine buff of mangle, make sense. Enough rage to quickly set off the maul/ravage then back into cat. Don't think many will like it, and will stick with the 3% shred buff though.
Would you REALLY want that? Understand that the damage your asking for isn't coming from nowhere. You have X damage, they will balance you at X damage. If you want more sources of damage to make up X, then each source is going to be smaller. Do you want them to take power out of your Mauls and Ravages in bear in order to let you do a higher % of X in cat form? Because that is what you're asking for. They aren't going to just add free damage onto the spec and make you the ultra high damage tank if you happen to cat weave. It will just be removed from other parts of the spec and you will be FORCED to cat weave to make up the difference. People do not realize what they are asking for with cat weaving, and as long as you have DR as the choice node with cat weaving, it will never be taken for anything serious.
Also, if you are talking about it from a cat's perspective, you will bear weave in M+ to use bear as a defensive. It actually has a point for cats. If you don't need the defensive, take the base damage increase node.
