For “camp followers” read “groupie” as for catering to “virtually all their needs” read “ALL their needs”. Can you imagine the outcry today if an all male only unit/organisation was set up today, the gnashing of teeth and the screams of inequality, anti feminist, male chauvinism etc etc and taking the men to court and demanding a mixed gender approach. In my opinion it’s perfectly ok to have an all male or woman’s unit or organisation, that’s not male or female chauvinism it’s just how some things are, and it’s definitely a two way street, equality at work. So, Mata Hari WAS NOT a spy, she just passed on information gained from “pillow talk” in he professional role as a prostitute. Women were obviously excellent spies, they probably brought less attention to themselves purely on gender, a working age man not in uniform or working with the enemy stood out like a spare p...k at a wedding. As I said in my comment on episode one, women who can pass the training for a particular role, whether that is a Spy, combat soldier, police,fire or paramedics then they are good enough to do the job, it’s equality, as long as the training objectives are the same for either gender, but unfortunately that isn’t always the case, sometimes people can pass a course purely because of gender, male or female. Why have they put in the section about Athena into this episode, did they need to pad it out that much?. “M*A*S*H units were highly mobile” Duh, what does the M in M*A*S*H stand for?????????.........yup, you got it, MOBILE, someone should have picked up on that blooper. The lady photographer who commented about the men “Strutting around with guns” and “power” was insulting to all of the people who have or are serving their country, absolutely NOT true, maybe for some, but not the vast majority of the service personnel, that was just an ill informed and derogatory comment, I spent 24 years in the military and never ever came across,served with or saw a male or female “strutting around” with a weapon, especially if it was loaded, just a very WRONG and idiotic statement from someone who needs to engage brain before opening gob. This episode was not a patch on episode one, it’s just a feminist propaganda film, sorry ladies, thumbs down 👎
