Hi Andy, Thanks for the two videos. That first video really showed the wind bucking around the planes. Jim made an awesome landing with his P-47. I really liked the flight of that F-86. The P-47 bomb drop was a nice extra. Want to add a bomb drop to my Carolina Customs kit.
I watch all these magnificent flying Eindeckers on your channel and it almost makes me sick. I wanted one forever and one day stumbled across a Dancing Wing 63 inch ARF. The damn thing is gorgeous, weighs next to nothing, and you'd think would fly almost like a trainer. This one also has ailerons but they are useless. This is the most difficult plane I own to fly in my current 128 plane fleet and nothing I have tried has helped. Part of me wants in the crumple into the ground and go home in a garbage bag if it weren't such a looker. Hopefully I'll find or build a larger one some day that'll fly like it should. Hope you get in several big events this year because I can watch these long videos over and over. Give me good inspiration while sitting and working on my builds. Oh and you should have kept the P-47! Can never have enough!😂
If your Fokker E.III is glow powered how do you expect it to weigh "next to nothing"? You should buy one of AerodromeRC's 70" WS E.III kits and power it with a 500 watt electric. WWI ARF's weigh too much to fly slow and graceful. The challenge would be to set it up like the real aircraft with an under-cambered airfoil and wing warping and learn to fly coordinated rudder/wing-warping turns. and discover that a full flying tail and rudder have far more authority than a model with separate stabilizers/elevators and fin/rudder.
