3:28 *repeatedly clicks paladin to hear him say epic, morale boosting statements such as "I am not afraid", "Let me face the peril", "For honor!", "For my people" as the epic music plays in the background*
Well not exactly, he was more of a man of action, obviously brave, a bit overly impulsive and a straightforward person Archrave, but yes, he has felt 'unappreciative' to prove he's the best, but what I am talking is about Sanity, not his overall past when he joined the Silver Hand, His past behavior, but the days when he WAS considered a Hero to the Eastern Kingdoms.
I can see where your going with this, but he isn't a coward really.. And he has not corruptively gone mad, he was corrupted of righteousness. There's a difference in that.
Yes, He wanted power, to protect his people. And I only see his mind openly go mad when he is at Northrend Darius. And your right, anyone could have welded Frostmourne. But as I stated, Righteousness consumed him to be a weapon, not insanely from mind as of other psychopaths.
Playing Warcraft 3 back when it was in the early 2000's, this music for human race out of all the other rts games at the time, felt different, most had that epic, heroic theme for humans, but this one was kind of dark giving a hint for what is about to come for Arthas... that was really great story telling and unique at the time and still is one of the best experience in video games.
Arthas was always the good guy, brought to the brink of despair and desperation bearing the guilt of Stratholme and anger towards Mal'ganis he took Frostmourne to end the threat to his people and the land by any means, which in turn took his soul and in turn The One True King was lost.
- 0:00 Humans building up their settlements, with violin sounds reminiscent of sawing and hammering. - 1:02 The Humans' finished glorious citadels are viewed from high places, flags fluttering atop towers and roofpeaks - the song itself giving pride of human architectural ingenuity. - 1:24 It begins to show the intricacies of human societies from the simple day-to-day activities of the commoners to the royal happenstances and decrees taking place within royal halls. - 1:58 It slows down and finishes up showcasing human societies, with the camera panning away to the distant and more neglected border settlements. - 2:30 It now shows the horrors that they're about to go up against: their own people diseased - turning into ghouls and zombies, village women shrieking at the sight of these foul creatures. - 3:11 Now servants of the dark powers, the newly risen all head as one towards the human settlements. - 3:17 Through learning of it all the humans remain encouraged, and hastily perform solutions against the coming threat. - 3:28 They recall their alliances and begin to request the aid of their most trusted allies, the elves, gnomes and dwarves. - 3:42 When all hope seemed lost against the innumerable masses of the dead, the human armies turn to the horizon and there they were, their allies one by one appear over the horizons to answer their calls, and they all come together in unison to face their foes headstrong, as one Alliance. - 3:55 The epic charge begins, knights with banners fluttering in the wind aided by the Elven mages who had called forth their blessings, Dwarven gryphon riders come soaring above the charging human armies while Gnomish artilleries screech across the skies of the battlefield. - 4:10 Lances are lowered, storm hammers are hurled and artillery fire comes shattering down upon the armies of the damned. - Finally by 4:17, the armies of the light and dark slowly clash as time freezes and the scene before the collision is immortalized as a painting.
Better than Orc 3: Temporary Alliances (Three minutes in)? Not that I'm disagreeing, 3:28's a fantastic part and made debatably even better in Reforged's Culling trailer. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ICMpPrg77g0.html
Hearing this track always makes me feel some hope to go along victorious as the Human Faction in WC3, Their great struggle to keep a great kingdom of Man, Dwarf and Elf against all odds from the Burning Legion's Orc's and Undeath.@3:26 - It sure points out that the Humans of the Eastern Kingdoms that their here to stay and fight as one against a very merciless foe. For The Alliance!
Indeed, The horde, the Scourge and the Night Elves are way stranger because... well, cause they're different. But the humans have a very unique feelling to them as well. The human campaign (especially) in WCIII is as envolvent as any very good movie. Arthas is a fucking baddass. He defies his former master Uther, and than both the Undead and the humans themselves, and walks away victorious. Of course, he ends up becoming part of the scourge in the proccess, but that just makes him even more baddass
3:28 todavía se escucha a Arthas diciendo: "Claro", "por supuesto", "un plan sólido", "por mi padre, el Rey", "no tienes remedio", "estúpido bellaco"... Tremendo soundtrack
I have bought cd of WC3 on 2003,and i have never been played RTS games before.I instaled it and i learned to play.It has go to my heart and it is the best game ever
So many memories, friends, games, good times, and laughs. I will never stop playing Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne... childhood game and it is still one of my favorites. Creating a new and more satisfying Eras Zombie Invasion as we speak currently. I always get goosebumps at 3:28
thanks man! been bugging the hell out of me i couldn't figure out what part they were throwing back to :) was always playing through my head but couldn't place it
Tingling is the right word. I had something like a nostalgia in my childhood when I played this game. Despite playing it for the first time, the overall atmosphere made me very inspired, I almost smell the aroma of nostalgia and something like a home sickness. The plot and atmosphere of this game are amazing
All the nostagia from this strategy game helped me remember the human races more consistently than all the other races. The light shows my way. (1:04 and 1:58) Fulfilling my redemption will happen at 3:24, 3:28 and 3:29 when I am about to complete my main quest. Almost managed the goal at 3:42 and 3:56. Completed the main quest at 4:10 and 4:22.
I used to always ask my brother "Brother, can I use your laptop to play Warcraft ?" Now, I can only ask this "Brother, when can I see you again?" at his grave..
After not playing wc3 for 5 years I went back to play on it recently and just realised that no game has every compared to the fun i had on this game. for me it is simply the best game ever produced LONG LIVE WC3 and hope a WC4 gets released.
The moment when you have endured, and like all religious moments, you feel the strength return and light burn brighter; despite all those setbacks and defeats, you fight well and hard, and earn that victory
The best song when observing a game or watching a replay. Lucky humans that got it as default gameplay sound, instead of undeads sounds which sucks :))).
seems like every rts game that has human as a faction they always have the best theme examples i can think of is: sins of a solar empire, starcraft 1 and 2... and of course the warcraft series.
March of the scourge was tough as hell in hard mode without shortcuts. I can't get that goldmine up north without getting spotted by those damn undead minions.
