The Hell Pit Abomination is a minion. While it's very unlikely to be competitive I am looking forward to teleporting a monster around in a casual game or two.
I believe the whole point of the predatory leap is to get the mounted aggradons on higher ground. Otherwise, they are mainly grounded. To me, the damage is just minor.
Cheers Toast! a mixed bag of surprises for my warbands but I want to get a few games in before I consider if this is a buff or nerf for me. I do agree that having this update is good for the future of the game in general.
Awesome, wasn't expecting a Toast feature length video but happy about it. Honestly as tricky as it would probably be to pull off it is very tempting to run a Slaughterpriest with wrath hammer and hackblade with Lord of Hubris for fun to be able to grapple tapped out targets in to the Lord of Hubris ready for his ability since it costs 2 doubles to do so and they can't retaliate with counter plus slaughterpriest can always throw in a cheeky 3 inch flail attack if he is out of range.
@Vaellas when playing with the Lord Of Hubris, you need to dedicate everything to his inevitable death. My current list has 110 points of blessings because Slaanesh ordains it
I did 40 damage to a dude today with him. It was rather disgusting. He then died by being cocky and getting slapped by some random ass chaff model during his ability
it seems the cypher lords can now teleport brimstone horrors, blissbard archers, nurglings & the underworlds skaven spiteclaw chaff. maybe you could also take the spiteclaw as ally for chyphers, but besides that, you don't get that much in a faction for the teleport buff. i feel like the snarlfang rider runemarks are wrong. it would be the only mount runemark in gitz (besides the underworlds snarlfangs) & now they also have the ability of the sporesplatta fanatic, which just feels wrong imo. idk love all the new units tho. gonna get the bloodpelt hunter to play with hrothgorn, cause that seems funny
I suspect runemarks are getting shafted in 3rd. They cause a lot of chaos within the game haha. Interestingly enough the Hell Pit Abomination is a minion…
Talking about a couple of warbands I have... I'd have liked GW to consider maybe putting the Cypher Lords' Mirrorblades up to T4 or give them a few more wounds. That might be better than reducing their cost again in future. Their models have armour so it always seemed a bit off that they have the same toughness and wounds stats as the Mindbound, who wear nothing but strips of cloth (other than their helmets, of course). With Horns of Hashut the nerf to Shatterers seems fair, but I'd like to see some corresponding buffs to their midrange fighters. Ruinators in particular look like poor value compared to similar fighters, coming in 10 points more than two-weapon Chaos warriors while having less toughness than them. Ash Bomb isn't good enough to justify that! Nerfing Shatterers is a sensible move but it'd be nice if there was also more incentive to take Ruinators and non-flamethrowing Demolishers instead of them.
All great points! I would hazard to guess GW don’t really want to touch stats - or didn’t want to touch stats this time around. Mirrorblades gaining some durability would be very nice. Returning them to their 1st edition points level would be good too. Shame they didn’t cut the Luminate and Thrallmaster a few points. Looking forward to seeing how to they continue to iterate on warcry with more frequent updates for sure
@@wargamesontoast while GW have seemed reluctant to change fighter stats I think they have done it a handful of times (or I could just be mistaken) and maybe making Mirrorblades a little better statswise might be a more effective approach than reducing them in cost. Having really quite good combat stats on such a fragile body must be hard to balance, as they can vary in effectiveness by such a large amount depending on whether they get to make the first hits or not - moreso than most other fighters.
Gloomspite Gitz player here, feeling a little rough about the big nerfs to brewgit and destruction allies in general - they said they want more incentive to use in faction Titans, but goblins don't have any 😅 - when do we see mangler squigs? They're the same size as the new Slann, so you can't say they're too big for Warcry
