As I say at the end: Baruuk is certainly viable, but to say he doesn't need some buffs is wrong. Here's the buffs that I think Baruuk needs: * Lull needs to put enemies to sleep faster to compensate for its need of LoS. One of the biggest perk of CC powers is that they usually take hold immediately. But if we can't get an immediate sleep, reducing the time it takes for them to fall asleep would help. * Restraint should either be easier to decrease, or Baruuk should start missions with 50% of his gauge removed so his 4 can be used in faster paced missions. * Serene Storm could do with both a general speed increase, as well as around +20% to the base Status Chance to make Condition Overload less RNG. * Desolate Hands should disarm targets around the initial enemy that's hit, with a radius that scales with Power Range, and any additional enemy to be disarmed should add to his Restraint being reduced. * Desolate Hands should not fire off daggers unless the players gives input in some way. Either by holding down the ability key, or some other method. But you're here for glyphs ye? Well, soon we'll have a universal code! I didn't know Baruuk's slide attack did that much damage. Also I forgot about CO. Any yeah Baruuk needs tennogen. I like his base skin he just needs a new helmet.
I could lol. I focused on raising damage and impact. Also my baruuk 4 crit chance is beyond 100% so I raise crit dmg too also every impact will decrease armor mod.

Baruuks 4 gave me an idea. What if ragdolling enemies into walls dealt finisher damage? Think about it; You're punting enemies so hard they go flying, and this includes beasts like bombards, which appear to be a couple hundred pounds. Let's say you've got a bombard in front of you, irritating you with it's stupid rockets. Yank out Baruuks 4, and smash him into a wall; Bam, several thousand finisher damage (scaled off of mods or velocity or weight of enemy or something). It'd give more incentive to ragdoll enemies as right now it's useless because it'll make the target harder to hit. I'd rather have a dead enemy than a still alive enemy on the ground. Any thoughts? I just threw this out of my head.
Collision damage would be very interesting, especially since it would help other cc abilities like Sonic boom do more than just cc. This might even make vauban's BOUNCE viable... Potentially. Please post this on the forums, it's a neat idea.
That's neat. If that were expanded upon like I said above, things like the proposed Damage 2.5 Impact rework (where impact procs would stack up to ragdolling the opponent) and Zephyr's unaugmented tornadoes could do more than make you waste ammo. The potential is real. I'll see about posting on the forums.
You know what's funny? Enemies actually do take damage if they hit parts of the terrain with enough force..... But it's only like 8~10 damage. Which is silly. But you can see an instance of it near the very end, when I'm slide attacking the group of bombards. The one guy who lives falls to the ground and takes a smidge of damage. So we KNOW the engine can do what you're suggesting. And I think it's a good idea myself.
Here's something i use on my Baruuk's exalted weapon (can be use on any weapon): Guardian Derision. You taunt the enemies as long that you're blocking. With Baruuk's 1... you take no damage and have all the enemies attacking you like if you insulted their mothers. And with a range of 15M, that's not bad at all. It's useful for those moment where you have an ally that can'T stay alive for more than 3 second or for defencive objective.
I can't fit Guardian Derision on my exalted, but I certainly put it on my regular melee specifically because of what you mentioned. Thanks for the reminder
For anyone still confused on Serene Storm: Attacks that have the waves scaled up are affected by Primed Reach, but attacks that use the default wave size are not affected. 0% status was likely a typo, and as of now is listed as 10%. The wiki likely accidentally hit enemies with both the fist and wave, thus leading to the misconception. The Slash and Puncture damage was also most likely a typo on DE's part, and now is listed as full Impact damage.
Listening to him sandbagging for like 10 minutes about how Baruuk is awful because he doesn't one shot level 160 mobs while forgetting standing finishers are a thing makes me question his status in the community.
@@TheTundraTerror I think it's alright. There are many ways to do things, he just prefer the most efficient way of all of them. Sure you can standing finisher enemies into the eternity like how Banshee Savage build does, but surely an Equinox thanos snap would save you lot more time. Brozime is the sort of speedrun guy, which isn't a bad thing and what he said isn't entirely wrong

This definitely didn’t age well. Elude has become his worst ability and Desolate Hands has become his best and Lull has become his best way to get rid of restraint. 300% Baruuk has become his actual build.
Watching this Video 5 years later almost, with reactive storm and Helminth available. Baruuk has one of the most terrifying Exulted weapon in the game. Oh how the time's change things
I agree one frames existence shouldn't nullify another frames viability. One thing I REALLY like on Baruuk is that he can use different equipment then other frames. When I play frames I don't like to take slow fire weapons or long reloads because when you stop moving you stop living. Baruuk on the other hand doesn't care. I have 360 degree elude so I have all day to aim my vectis or my Mirelok... He allows me to have very long reload times or slow fire rates because those are his best damage nullification times. Also I'm pretty sure exalted blade is ONLY better because of chromatic blade. The 100% status makes condition overload always active. If Baruuk got the same mod then the AOE of Baruuk's ability would be superior to exalted blade. Either that or have one of his combos have a guaranteed status proc... One thing DE NEEDS to change is the fact that his 1 and 4 have a mandatory unequip action. When you get hit buy a nullifier he has to run through both his 1 and 4 deactivation before you can shoot... and that's usually death... I would also like lull's windup sleep time be shortened with power strength. I hope they change his daggers so that on recast he scatters the remaining daggers while bringing in more daggers (just put a 1 or 2 second cooldown on recast). PS: Baruuk is EXTREAMLY good at helping a new player run through the game. I've actually started to help my friend get into the game and it's nice to play spectator. 700 energy, 360 degree evade, .6 energy per second means we can go as slow as we want while teaching him the ropes. If too much starts to happen that he can't handle then Serene Storm the map clean and start again.
Exactly! He can be an insane damage dealer, he can be an insane tank, he can be a good support for allies. He enables many different play styles and also weapons that aren't normally used.
As someone who uses Staticor for the "meme ki-monk build", you can also use charging weapons with elude, and you're only vulnerable at the time of releasing the trigger. So charging times on bows doesn't matter either.

Most people forget Excalibur has an augment which allows his blade to become a stronger status weapon, on top of an easy method to build up combo multiplier to further boost exalted blade's damage. Excalibur's exalted from what I see is just a full on offense ability while Baruuk's offer crowd controls and ragdolls galore. Also some tidbits from Baruuk's exalted: - Disarms enemies on direct hits -Ground slams with the block button creates a mini vortex to drag everything nearby into melee range -Deflects projectiles (Semi-useful against bombard rockets, but hard to pull off against most projectile weapons) -Also innate damage reduction, pairing this with desolate hands easily makes Baruuk very tanky. (If you are running a low range tank Baruuk)
I dont think Serene Storm is supposed to be a crowd control: they specifically mentioned that the entire point of it was to turn him into a power house; it's just that Excalibur does it better at the moment
@@TriburosOnline Agreeable since crowd control in my opinion should be secondary to all kinds of weapons, including exalted weapons. Other frames have one way or another to boost their exalted's damage output including Wukong who has Primal Rage. Until DE decides to further buff Serene Storm or give him some augment to boost his output he'll need to rely on lull finishers/stealth damage to keep the damage going into above 100s.
I really appreciate the work and effort you put into your videos Trib. I think Warframe creators like you and others definitely deserve a lot more attention.
Tip for dealing with Heavy enemies #6: Exploit the tiles. Enemies die if they are ragdolled into oblivion, and in tilesets like Gas City, this is extremely easy to do.
If his 4 can go through walls, then his 2 should have no problem removing line of sight requirement. Recasting 3 should shoot out all old knives instantly instead of just re-upping the count.
Warframe kinda has a formula in regards to DPS vs CC, but it changes depending on weither the frame in question is a hybrid or a pure focus frame: CC powers tends to bypass obstacles, have large radiuses, and tend to apply their effect instantly. Which make sense: it gives them the advantage over most DPS functions that have more limitations that are usually present. DPS *tends* to have some of the following traits: Smaller ranges, are often blocked by obstacles, have build up times, downtimes, or require specific circumstances. Such as with Volt's 4, where its best when multiple enemies are around. They also rarely affect enemies instantly and equally. Saryn is a very, very big exception to the forumla, though. Off topic from what yer saying, but yeah. She's a frame that completely breaks that formula, to the point where I think she's broken. I might get hate for that, but it really is true when most other DPS frames have to deal with restrictions like that. Anyways, I kinda disagree with yah regarding Lull, because the 'formulas' I mentioned are assuming that the frame in question is a 'pure' frame, dedicated to entirely CC or DPS. If the frame is a hybrid of the two, they tend to have more limitations on their CC and DPS. Which Baruuk abides by in regards to his Lull having a LoS requirement, and it makes sense when you think about it: Frames like Limbo and Loki are almost entirely based around CC; they have little to no direct offense capabilities with their powers. As such; their CCs tend to be much better than frames that are hybridized. So Limbo can Stasis half the map, and Loki can disarm half the map for examples. A frame like Excalibur though, does have a limitation on his CC because he's also a DPS. So as a hybrid frame: his Radial Blind doesn't go through walls. Otherwise, he'd be way too good. In essence: if a frame is 100% dedicated to CC, they should have almost no limitations on their CC. If they bring other things to the table, then limitations do make sense. So I'm fine with Lull's LoS because Baruuk is also a DPS mix. My big issue with Lull is that it just doesn't apply its effect immediately. Most if not all CC in this game takes hold the instance it's out on the map. Stasis, Sleep Arrow, Bastille, Radial Disarm, Radial Blind, ect. I can't think of a form of CC that doesn't apply immediately off the top of my head, except for Lull. My main gripe is that Lull does not abide by that extremely important function for a CC to have. It's possibly the most important thing as well. The only reason I consider it to be viable is purely because of it's greater-than-normal range, and the fact that enemy DPS begins to be halted when they start being slowed. The reason why Baruuk's 4 can break the rules though, is that it's behind the Restraint gimmick. So it makes sense that Baruuk's 4 is given some extra oomph and is able to break the usual rules. So that's why it should be able to bypass obstacles. Which is why I think it's silly that Excaliburs can do that, but with better results over-all.
Decided to come back to this video after baruuk prime. I believe baruuk can be one of the strongest frames in the game. I've been running a max str, min duration to spam lull and get a ton of daggers to help plummet his restraint. His 4 is able to easily wipe the floor with almost any mobs, and using Blood rush and gladiator set on a stat stick allows such a huge spike in power. To me the negatives of desolate hands are the balance for the DR it gives. You have to be aware of your daggers or you're not going to survive. All in all, I've come to appreciate lampshade head, with all his quirks he's super fun to play with.

Thank you so much for thos video, people just focus too much on tue meta and forget that not everything needs to be best in class or be able to oneshot level 160 enemies (Also don't you dare insult Revenant, he is good, just use his 3 on entralled enemies and you will kill anything)
My problem with Revenant is that his kit heavily pushes his 4 ahead of anything else, to the point where his 4 is anti-synergtic with his 1. But the worst part is that Revenant not only never got attention that he needed to round out his kit, but they even nerfed his 4 which was already limited because its damage falls off at range due to the laser spread, and the fact that its stopped by walls and such. I hate how his 1 is useless because of his 4 just killing all the Thralls. I hate how his bonuses to Reave cannot be used because Thralls die because of his 4. I hate how the flames that shoot out from killed Thralls don't do anything. So much of his kit is just wrong imo.
@@TriburosOnline I use his 4 when I want to kill Thralls about to get out of the mindcontroll, the tattic to use him is just let enemies hit you, mind controll a couple of them and when enough are enthralled dash trought them, at any level ANY they will die in 2 dashes, the pillars are not bad a low level at at higher levels they proc a lot of puncture ans cc so they do minor crowd controll, this way Revenant can keep himself safe ans cc almost anything, his 4 honestly is just to trash hight shields or strip armor at any level and Revenant with a max efficency build spends almost no energy except foe his 4. I realy like his flow of combat and I feel he was never meant to spend too much time in his 4 (unless you are at 50 lv or lower, at that point he just murders everyone)

While I agree with the point of having teammates for a reason, there are also frames that can delete 20 heavies all on their own. Which kind of circles around to the no man army problem you have talked about. I really wish that some frames had less solo/individual power and more team power. If you are going to make solo frames make them more like nidus who is fairly selfish and doesnt need help from anyone but is only able to hold himself and not carry.
You are right, some warframes are able to deal with 20 heavies in one go but there two point you need to consider. First these warframes are simply different, they can do things barruck can't do and barruck can do things they can't do, it might sounds stupid but Mesa or Saryn are not able to put an entire rom to sleep to protect an objective The second point is at follows, i can't remenber crossing the path of 20 heavies in normal gameplay, i don't even remember seeing more than 4-5 in the same place, you have the time to just prepare a kill because they are only a few per waves.

Actually the people that immediately say everything is trash are people that dont use anything except immortal frames (inaros and some other bois and gurls lol) , lull is good even with it current state what kind of monks that doesn't use weed for relaxing his patients XD, elude is useful for stationary type combat hence this is why he got a bow ,weapons like opticor and snipers can help aswell
If you think the people saying Baruuk is trash use Inaros then you're nuts. Inaros is trash too, we use frames that can survive and have good cc. We don't need to put enemies to sleep because they die anyway with almost every other frame. Tbh I think Baruuk is worse than Wukong.
PonyDubWubster Inaros can destroy everything you throw him at besides spy sorties if you are an idiot that walks into lasers. His 1(aka pocket sand)+ a covert lethality dagger = any enemy deleted. His 2 is the longest single target cc with an insane invulnerability state in the game. His 3 is a meme but winds up one shotting anything hit by his 2 but not being devoured. His 4 is a massive armor buff/ team wide heal. Brozime goes into this more in his 2018-2019 roster review. Plus with the right build 8k+ health with insane armor and infinite energy. His quest is a bitch and a half but he is well worth it. Edit: I forgot that Wukong is literally just used for defy,aka immortality.

New Subscriber. Just got mah Baruuk to 30. Looking for a good build and explanation. Found a well balanced approach to guiding and educating new and old players to the game concept. Baruuk is fun as hell. A tad complicated but fun to learn. Not Every Frame Has To Nuke The Map !!!
