Ey lads, just a heads up if you don't keep up with me on Twitter: On the 15th, I'm going in for surgery to remove an impacted wisdom tooth. Because it's an impacted tooth, it's likely going to take longer to heal and I suspect I'll be out of commission for atleast a week if not more. I'm writing this around the time that a new WF update is going to drop; it's tomorrow actually! And usually I start brainstorming a script for a new frame within just a few days. But I might have to put that off for a bit whilst I recover. Will let you know on the 15th how everything went and how I'm feeling, but ye I just thought you lot should know ur all cuties as always hehehoho
9:45 I think this issue is actually the engine working as it’s intended. What I believe DE does for the cameras is make a curve which traces through all the cameras, this prevent the shots from traveling in straight lines and causes it to be smoother. However, when two cameras are placed on top of each other the curve overshoots as it tries to smooth out the shot between the cameras following the momentum from the previous camera. A solution for DE would be to allow people to control the curve or to consider two cameras in the same position as one when generating the curve.
@@Chalk.... yep. The playerbase has been crying out for anything to make chroma more interactive and de decided to change his passive to triple jump. To be fair they also let him.swap elements mid mission now, the problem is since his 1 and 4 are garbage the only thing swapping elements do is change your elemental ward (which you won't really be doing) so it basically just boils down to a qol buff at this point so you can build a green chroma and still use fire. That was the chroma "rework" they then told us they wouldn't be doing large changes to warframes anymore so.... they basically just middlefingered chroma players. (They did try though, the playerbase has been asking for element swapping for a long time and de added it. It's just it's not enough atm, chromas problems run much deeper)
I don't even use Captura, but i still found this video very fascinating. That's the mark of a good content creator right there. Making what would normally be boring hella interesting.
“And it lets you see how neat it would be to ride a K-Drive in a really enclosed space.” DE: “Oh, you want a K-Drive that you can ride anywhere?” DE: *Releases Yareli* Trib... I think you may have sparked that...
i love captura not only can you make epic shots, you can buff necramechs with so many adrenal stims the speed value goes over the integer limit and stops moving
I personally love going through some of the melee animations and pausing at different points. You really start to see some of the downright weird animation that's papered over by how fast it is normally (spun weapons clipping through hands, stuff just appearing and disappearing, etc.). But I had no idea there were so many more features with the camera tracking and such. Might have to revisit it soon
When I had 20 hours in the game, I thought the Lex was the best weapon in the game. After that, the Latron Prime. Then The Sybaris. Then- oh my god, I really miss warframe. Goddamn it, I wish I wasn’t perma banned.
@@alphaplayzz1381 my name was Sai.Kisaragi and it was because I got too many region chat bans. They didn’t care about why or what I got banned for, they just assumed I’m a terrible human being that doesn’t deserve to play warframe anymore.
I used it all the way back when I thought my Excalibur regenerating health over time was purely a bug and not an aura I had it so long ago that I didn’t even have the slightest clue how the star map worked (because back then any planet you didn’t have unlocked wasn’t even visible on the “starmap” which had a interface like the mandochord in the orbiter and no indication of how to unlock other planets Good times
I love how Trib makes a point and before you can even dream to think of a reason why it wouldn't work he just gives an example that is ALREADY IN THE GAME. My guy will be doing TED talks in 20 years.
Dear god. The two lords of “serrious, yet shitposty” of two separate communities that both use sfm to animate skits (though lazy far more intensely) chatting bout animation tools? I dread to think about how much bigger some people’s brains could get despite the horrific neural damage that would fallow because of the swelling against the skull.
All I heard was stug part 3 is still coming and I was happy. Also to me it's just the mode that stops me from photographing myself jumping off a cliff.
Back when i played warframe and decided to delve more into Fashion frame i remember the first thing that hit me about Capture is the lack of a pose button. How am i supposed to make funny memes and show off my beautiful (or Horrific) colors combinations without proper posing?
I think the slingshot effect is a "feature" because you could not get circling motions without this inertia. Like, if you create 4 cameras : one at 12 o'clock, one at 3 o'clock, one at 6 o'clock, and one at 9 o'clock, all pointed towards the center, it would "rotate" in a square instead of smoothly rotating in a circle. I have not used Captura in that fashion, but I assume that's the intent.
"To see how it would he to use a k-drive in a really narrow space" (a while later) yareli exists...ehy at least you can't fly off the board when you smack yourself into a wall at 100mph with razor fidget spinners right by your neck as you crash comically and ragdoll through the god dam* map😂
Trib the past captura was more painful in slow mo the game menu is slow thus you can spawn more then 3 enemys and I toyed around this bug until it got patch
The only reason i use captura past infinite energy to mess about is double jumping as wisp and other frames and pausing half way through the flip for poses otherwise seen elsewhere
This is a man who vents clear problems to the wonderful community that is warframe. I love it. Hope your surgery goes well trib. Cant wait to see your take on the new frame. As for your stug run.........im sorry.🤣
I have an idea as to the origin of the problem with the problem of the 2 cameras on top of each other causing a slingshot motion. Forwarning: I don't code and this is all spectulation on my part, but it seems to make sense to me. Here goes: In the clip shown in the video of the camera moving, it didn't move from point A to B in a straight line, but rather a curve, which is probably done purely because that is more pleasing to the eye that way. I way I suspect this is done in code basically notes the "momentum" of the camera once it reaches a point and then "pulls" at the camera with the exact force required to let it reach the next point given the current speed of the camera. If you place 2 points on top of each other as done in the video, the camera has a momentum when it reaches the first of those points and thus "overshoots" the second point, since that "momentum" needs to go somewhere. As to how to solve the problem maybe build in a detection of two points being virtually on top of each other and treat them as one point for the purpose of camera movement. Disclaimer: I could be totally wrong about this, but the idea makes sense to me. If anybody wants to point out a flaw in my line of thinking, I look forward to it.
You can sometimes prevent that pulse turbine door in RJ from locking up if you open it before the final phase. I say sometimes because sometimes it's locked regardless.
As someone who does Captura, I agree with most of this stuff. And I say "most", because I barely touch most of this stuff other that lighting settings. Also, Captura on a controller FUCKING SUCKS.
Would be great if the game had a better k&m support for consoles? Live even Paladins a pvp game you can key bind and and actually use the fucking ps4 controller's gyro that most devs don't care to use
Pose mode is something I never realized they never added to captura, even though we have all sorts of pose animations ingame. One would think integrating those pose animations in a static form wouldn't be so hard to pull off.
While I am no expert of Warframe coding and I don't use captura at all... I think I know what the problem with the lighting is. Way back when, Steve was talking about doing in engine lighting and swap overs and redoing it a few time, its possible that something got off from what went in game and it just never updated for captura to turn down the fog and lightning, so its working off the earlier lighting code/builds vs what spawns in game.
I really do wonder if capture has been updated with the various graphical and lighting updates that’s been applied over the years, cause the bleach fucked tiles remind me of the old look of beta/ early release warframe.
The umbra courtyard scene could be so sick for photos but the moon shines like the goddamn sun so it’s makes bloom insanely bad. (Also playing on a switch but still)
random comment but just thought it was funny. when i was younger and found warframe i found your channel first and thought you were the creator of the game.
The slingshot motion might be because of that line that goes further than the position of the camera. So it’s probably just camera 2 going further than expected because of the green line but hey who knows thats just me speculating.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😅😅lol now I understand I never really looked at it this way simply because I dont know how to use capturera lol this is one of the many bugs that DE has to fix I'll protest with you lol✊😲✊!!! Fix the bugs! Fix the bugs!! DE!!! Lol I like u vids! 😁👍
9:51 That's a setting DE implemented to make camera tracking smoother, it's called Bezier interpolation. If DE just set it to Liner interpolation (literally just one button), this issue would stop existing. Hoooooowever it'd also remove 100% of smooth camera transitions, by always moving at a constant speed and changing direction instantly. Bezier takes the previous motion and gradually changes it to match the new motion until you end up at the next position, simulating momentum and smooth motion along a curve, instead of a sharp corner. The easy solution here would be for DE to just give each camera their own interpolation types, but let's be real, it ain't happening Sauce: Am trash animator
Why I think DE Limits Captura Spawns: Simulacrum. If we could spawn tons of enemies, why would be to go/grind to get the Simulacrum? Also, one thing Captura is excellent for: Showing how terrible DE's animations are when you can actually watch them
Annnnnd Warframe still has one of the most advanced Photomode of games in its genre. The number of features available in captura is unrivaled by other games. But I guess if it ain't 100% perfect people are going to be unhappy about it 🤷♂️
I just got a idea that could make captura user happy By 1. triburos idea (aka copying player movement) 2. More enemy limit like 20 or more 3. Let us able to use the copying player movement to enemy by letting us control them (example the new war grinner or corpus)
