Nice clickbait, EVERYONE knows stug is by far the best weapon in the game, otherwise why did DE never make an incarnon for this weapon? Cuz it's already too op

Fun fact: On Overframe theres a tierlist of all the weapons and frames and companions in the game, what tier everything is in (from D to S) is voted on by the community. While it is generally overwhelmingly voted D tier, the stug is actually placed in high C tier because the sheer number of people saying it's S tier for the memes.

Even the Kraken redeemed itself with its kuva variant, but damn, this thing is horrible

This one definitely sticks in my mind like an exploding sticky glob ball 'cause I got it very early on. I was so new that I didn't want to play in groups for fear of holding everyone else back. So I literally played with this thing for multiple in-game hours doing early starchart solo missions. And of course it had no blue potato either, and most mods were barely leveled up too. Such a bad experience that was only manageable because the weapons I had in my primary/melee slots were even more fun by comparison.

the other day I got a riven for it. + zoom, + magazine capacity - recoil and - puncture. If people call a riven with good stats a"Godroll", This was a "Devilroll".

Funny thing, Nox units hold the improved Stug (at least a mechanically similar gun), why not just copy that one? The sound of those slugs being fired makes my hairs stand up if I'm playing a shield based frame

no way people ask for Stug Incarnon when it has an Alt-fire... It seems like they haven't used it even once 🤷‍♂️

Now, if you ever decide that you really don't want to play this game anymore, I'd highly suggest giving the Castanas, the normal ones, a try! Genuinely makes the Stug look like a powerhouse. I have gone through every single weapon and the Castanas are in their own tier of trash. If you can complete ANY mission above level 30 with these things alone, I'd be surprised.

I said in the boar encyclopedia video how I couldnt find anything redeeming about that weapon until i tried the stug, only to realize with horror that "Not the Stug" is itself a redeeming quality. The Stug is so bad that all other weapons are elevated by simple virtue of "Well, at least its not the Stug".

A few of the original weapons were inspired from DE’s prior games. I believe the Drakgoon was the flak gun from Unreal Tournament. The Stug should be the bio gun from UT 2004.

Back in 2014 this weapon was actually pretty nice. I spent many hours playing with the stug back in the day. I still keep mine for the nostalgia.

We need an augment for the Stug that allows it to explode on contact and when you get 10 kills, it sells itslef and auto buys you wisp prime with orokin reactor

The one thing I dislike the most about this gun is the orange screen shader effect whenever things explode. Because all of its munitions explode and you have to be close to your targets to effectively hit them, I felt like I was developing colorblindness the longer I used it. Max ranked it once, no potato or anything, will never look back.

back in the days where mr17 was max youd lvl up stuff in ODD deimos def so i had needed a secondary decent aoe gun when lvling up primaries and melees in comes castanas and stug

i bought a riven for the stug recently and because of the high dispo you can replace like hornet strike and primed heated charge and use a faction mod as well as that and use something like a weapon slinger mirage to increase the amount of blobs and damage,,, and its still pretty shit

I've got an idea. 1. Give it a alt-fire to instantly detonate. 2. Make it either stack infinitely adding small amounts of crit and status chance to the explosion OR Every stacked blob gives you 10% crit and status chance flat. Not scalable with mods. So at max stacks it's 100% crit and status chance 3. Have the explosion range scale with the blobs, making it reach tonkor blast radius at max stacks. There, weapon fixed. Probably.

Honestly making primed firestomr work would be ok at spam weapon with good ammo, low level clear.

incarnon stug +40% crit +2x crit damage +200 damage on reload explode all active blobs for 2x damage or reloading expends rest of magazine to shoot a blob for (remaining mag)*2*damage +40% status or + 10% damage for each status on target +3m aoe radius

Asfar as i know it was somewhat buffed because DE atsomepoint changed calc of a a few things in which it got like 10x better

One of the things I really like about Warframe is that they lean hard into the idea that not all weapons are created equal. Some are just better (which makes sense for how this game works: PvE, Mastery, weapon variants and mods). I think the Stug exists to remind us of this. It's so bad it's on it's own tier!

I built it for viral corrosive radiation and heat with a riven that grants fire rate Projectile speed and multishot....its just barely viable on steel path....I even killed an acolyte once....I think he couldn't keep up with immunity to so many elements 😅

Had a mate that got a riven with negative velocity so the projectiles wouldn't even move lol.

would be nice to see if the stug blobs had like a 5-10 m aoe depending on the amount of blobs on an enemy

While I have dumped like 8 or 9 forma into this thing with a quite good riven, even I can admit it’s just for a joke that I take it. Except in SP Circuit with the 10% Vuln per shot Decree. “Can’t expect god to do all the work!” Is what I say when I see that.

I'd be interested if they ever gave us a kuva variant or incarnon form for this weapon... just pure curiosity, nothing more... nothing less. I like mechanics over so much else in this game... so it would be fun to see "what else can they make it do...`?" as I'm too tired of just added statistics to a weapon.

i had a stug riven once with -reload, maxed it out and it gave me a grand total of 10 seconds to reload which im not sure how it got to other than reload speed just that weird stat that has jank behind it

The suggestion for making it better seems decent but is more likely to made into an augment than a fix. Either way, hopefully DE hears this.

Funny story. When first starting I loved it so much for its character and put my first potato on it...

I kind of like its mechanics to be honest. To me, blobs should slow down the enemy, should automatically blow up once reaching 10 stacks, and have an exponential damage growth on stacking to warrant the usage of stacking and the existence of the charge fire mode. Naturally, it should also have much more damage and status, maybe sprinkle in some crits as well. I feel like it's one of these guns with a cool unique mechanics, something other than generic rifle #69 but, like many weapons of that kind, it's held back by poor stats, as if the devs were shy about having such a weapon being good.

They need to make a kuva incarnon prime stug

There is one think wich makes it better- Dont stack blobs on each other (paint enemy head to toe instead)- you deam more damage that way More does not mean alot - its still worst gun in the game Only moment it was usefull is when DE FORGOT to remove self damage from it (even DE forgets about this gun) But thas fixed now

I cant see a kuva stug changing much to save the stug not unless DE just goes 5*times on most of the stugs stats that is. Though an Incarnon stug would be even more of a meme with a player grinding though SP Circuit only to get an stug Incarnon.So unless the incarnon givs the stug Felarx levels of power its going to remain a meme at the bottom of a trashcan.
