Thanks for the feedback! I'm just trying to get as many armies painted for future use as I can before my eyesight and hands deteriorate from ageing. Pretty sure I have a fair bit of time left but wanted to get stuck in early just in case. And the idea is I can come back later and upgrade them a little if I have time or feel the need. Historical armies though I do like to take more time with, rather than batch speed-painting. Cheers

@@evilstu3177 For my on going ancient German project I've debated doing the batch painting method similar to you with army painter tone. In the end I just used regular washes instead of the army painter stuff as I was unsure what the end result would look like and didn't want to risk the unknown. I still have so many Germans to do, I kinda wish I undercoated some with the flesh spray like your chaos barbarians.

@@TriariusWarGaming I guess some tonal variation in the skin tone would only be natural so if you have ready access to a flesh coloured spray paint and some minis that you haven't t kicked off yet it might be worth a go just to see what you think of the process? Hope you are pulling up OK post surgery!

Well if it helps they are only done to a very rough 'tabletop' standard - it's mostly just smoke and mirrors ;-)

Yep it's part of the 4th edition painting challenge. Replicating my wood elves sadly long gone and now rising from the ashes. Will not be as big an army as the chaos louts you have rapidly put together! Good luck with Archaon.
