I think we all are very excited for this game. You did great with the Vermin Tide games so expectations are high, but those games also show that you know your lore and have passion for the in-game universe. I was very happy to see that you will let us create our custom characters. Hope you will let there be some mod-support as well, as this has given new life and depth to Vermin Tide 2 for many players. (Having alot more people play at the same time than just 4 for instance).
In case you were wondering, the subtitles at 0:33 spell out the word the word "[inaudible]" but in Binary. Whoever is doing these subtitles is amazing and deserves more credit.
I suspected the binary sequence would have a char representation, and I was correct. However, there is a spelling mistake, so to fix that the byte sequence should be "01101001 01101110 01100001 01110101 01100100 01101001 01100010 01101100 01100101".
Cant wait to pkay as a guardsman. The other characters are definitely cool but i just like the idea of a regular nameless soldier doing what is necessary for the emperor
That ending song was a banger, I hope that it could be a horde theme in game. Vermintide 2 had some awesome music and I bet this game will be even better!
Holy emperor I beg thee to aid fatshark in making a well rounded and fleshed out game. I beseech thee to protect them from not making any undelivered promises this time.
@Konrad Vest I get that the thought of being other that pasty white is terrifying for YOU. . . But they've already said that you will be able to customize ur character extensively. So maybe go read some more into it instead of looking up the nearest 5g tower and its dangers. Dam warp spawn
@@CookieSicarius If this is true, then good. I'm going to have my group of super-straight all White male guardsmen saving the day from Nurgle and his poz juice carriers.
There won't be much customization besides skins for characters methinks. Just like with Vermintide 2, they're probably going for a cast of predefined characters who embody archetypes from Warhammer universe.
@@MrSagaTeller they have already confirmed you can pick your classes for the squad. So if you wanted you could have nothing but guardsmen and no psykers or priests etc
@@MrSagaTeller on steam page : "Create your own, unique character and customize their physical appearance, voice, and origin. Choose your class to determine which unique traits and skill sets they will make use of in battle" So no, it will not be like vermintide :)
Kinda sucks that we didn’t get to see any in depth overviews of the game itself outside of cinematics Hopefully we’ll get to see more in the coming weeks
@@Dracongard I do hope you’re right. Not to be a sour person but them not showing literally anything has me worried that maybe development isn’t going so well
I love how in vermintide 2 you are fighting the chaos warriors of Nurgle. Here, you are also fighting Nurgle. Also, the soundtrack at the end is amazing and although it sounds more sci-fi, you can see the similarity with vermintide's soundtrack which is brilliant. Staying true to the roots. I love that.
@@MrJayberry176 I like that because they have proven that they can nail the Nurgle theme and aesthethics, or better said, the gut-wrenching grotesque of it.
@@MrJayberry176 Sure, but I also think they wanted to keep a parallelism between the two games and keep some common base thematics. Maybe because that way playing one might also get you in the mood to playing the other.
@Glizzby did you read my comment? I said I knew that a pysker is going to be in this game especially with the hint of the "shave woman from the other trailer" this trailer confirms it but obviously with a different person. According to other sources you get to customize your character.
@@GorbadIronclaw define shave: to remove (the beard, hair, etc) from (the face, head, or body) by scraping the skin with a razor. The other trailer feature a shave woman with a power sword. But didn't show any gameplay.
Awesome, so is the Pysker the 5th character, or is he replacing that woman character? Or is it not that there are 5 or 4 named set characters, but more like a make your own character kind of thing, maybe it is considering it was mentioning the Inquisition using random criminals, I wonder how that works with voice-acted playable characters
I’m waiting for launch to find out. Still expecting something more akin to Vermintide 2’s customization…which, for me, is alright. I like the character dialogue more than customization. (Tho if they manage a good mix of both, it’ll be truly glorious.
From my understanding there are only 4 classes But unlike vermintide you are not locked to only playing one class in a single group For example you can have 4 veterans in one match Or 3 ogryns and a priest Who knows since they didn’t really reveal anything other than another cinematic lmao
Just imagine - poxwalkers yell and rush in - you are getting shot at from different positions all around you. The team pushes through and you hear this 1:27 this is what coop horde games are about.
Thanks Fatshark, I likes this. Looking forward to seeing gameplay of Darktide next week. I'll be enjoyed this awesome game through PC gamepass in September 🙂🙂
Rogal Dorn’s colossal chainblade, too weighty for any but an elite sisterhood raised from infancy to adore the Leviathan at his disposal, expands ever outwards, to onlookers, less a flesh length but rather some unstoppable agency of the sire of the Imperial Fists made manifest. Woman after woman incapacitated or stunned. Dorn’s phenomenally resilient organic requiring specialized medical and alchemical equipment to prevent and ever-greater death toll mounting from each Massive Blast of his equipment, dozens of women requiring extensive augmetic rebuild per engagement. Not even death can stay the breathtaking Torsion Crusher beneath the Auric Armor. Indeed, the blood of martyrs only strengthens the resolve of Dorn, making it hard on his war gear to the point of overstraining the armor’s exoskeleton.
Where is the faith coming from exactly? Did you not see the DLC mess that Vermintide 2 turned in to? Or the huge hiccups it had at the start that made it lose more than half it's player base in the first week? Blind faith is most often very misplaced.
I hope the game isn't too grindy and it has a lot of variety. There's like a million other games out at the moment but I'm still excited for what Fatshark can deliver!
DON'T pre-order please, we don't get to play the game earlier or get a special reward for that and we can always spend our money when the game is confirmed to be good later after launch. Love you all and bless Darktide to be what's expected❤
September eh? Well I'm not pre-ordering, I like Vermintide, and I don't expect this to be worse, but I've been stung too many times to put that much trust in any developer again.
For Fatshark products, I'll honestly wait a couple of months to a year after release. Love Vermintide 2, played it since Beta, but man was the first stretch of the game's lifetime rough.
Especially, since they still havent shown us any real gameplay at all. Its so fishy. Nothing but a boring trailer - i brace myself for disappointment...
@@spamquisition4046 It was hilarious for all the wrong reasons. So much jank, so many bugs. It was glorious but I wouldn't have recommended it to anyone. :D
@@Cheesepuff8 Somebody asked if you could have a squad of 4 Ogryns and they replied that you could. So unless they misunderstood the question or we misunderstood the answer, it seems you can yes.
jokes aside, exterminatus isnt always a good option. Not only is the payload itself hard if not impossible to manufacture, inquisitors must actually use exterminatus weapons with caution. Using an exterminatus not only kills millions of lives that could serve the emperor, but it also leaves behind an inhospitable planet and thats assuming that there is even a planet left, leaving it almost always completely useless for imperial use (there are a few planets that have remained intact after an exterminatus was used and have been repurposed into mining worlds, but still those are rare and few bc more often, the planet is just straight not useful anymore). That's why usually exterminatus would be used if the planet was considered beyond saving and/or deny the planet from being used by the enemy (basically either a FUBAR option or a middle finger martyrdom), which is usually the case if the planet that's beyond saving is about to be taken over by orks, chaos, or maybe tyranids. Also, if an inquisitor were to use exterminati irresponsibly, there are always negative consequences. If they were a new or unpopular inquisitor, no one would care if for unknown reasons they were unceremoniously relieved of their duty in a dark alley or executed after a trial. If they were some inquisitor with high influence, assassination may not be a concern but they can expect less cooperation and increased hostility from other inquisitors or even have their rank as an inquisitor revoked. Yes, even in the grimdarkness of the 42nd millenium, there are still those who have working brains and realize how much responsibility lies behind the use of exterminatus weaponry. fun fact: inquisitor kryptmann, the inquisitor famous for the imperium's first official contact with the Tyranids, got his official title stripped bc his excess use of exterminati when trying to starve Hivefleet Leviathan created deserted worlds in which some became home of migrating orks.
I absolutely knew someone would not realize I was joking and come in with a "buh akshually". I just didn't think it'd be so quick. You boys needa lighten up.
@@GateSide0 I wouldn't have agreed with you if the person above you didn't post a fucking essay. Bloody hell mate, we don't need a dissertation on an exterminatus.
Great! You will be able to play your character without personality, dialogue, story or relationship with his teammates... And you'll look like thousands of other players who choose from a few rare skins to /flex! I much prefer the endearing and characterful roster of Vermintide. Dialogue is going to be flat, and updates are going to make the world evolve while leaving our "customizable" characters in the lurch! No more storytelling from Lohner...
@@droolbob4447 We've seen nothing of the dialogue yet, chill out a tad on the doom posting lol It's quite feasible for them to have solid dialogue using the archetypes for the characters instead of specifically named ones. I know it won't quite be the same but at least you can mix, match, and really customize both your character and your kill team. Give it a chance man.
Im really hoping the trailers we’ve seen so far are representative of the quality of cut-scenes we can expect to see over the course of the main storyline. Either way it looks bloody good.
I love how this trailer is basically everyone getting their ass beat. Also, the guardsman.. dude is literally running around with no gun and a chainsword. He's just like us. Lol.
That felt like a teaser trailer, but hey if I can live my dreams of being a guardsman, and to fight and die for the emperor, then take my money and sign me the fuck up.
I know they all say "don't preorder". But Fatshark have proven themselves with Vermintide. Proven that they not only know how to make a damn good game, but one that's dripping with personality and a very obvious care for and interest in the lore of the franchises they're adapting. If any company has earned my trust with a preorder, it's Fatshark. Especially given the price point they're going for.
Vermintide 2 was filled with shitty optimization and undelivered promises. Vermintide 1 wasn't much better at launch. Your idea that "its fatshark" so its good, is so abysmally flawed by reality I have to assume you are a shill or 14 years old. Also your comment that they have interest in the lore they are adapting, I point to Kruber, a Mercenary sergeant from the province of Talabecland, being inducted into the Grail Knights of the fucking Lady of the lake.
Pretty much my thought as well, I NEVER pre-order esp after APB... but this was a done deal since even if its a rocky launch they fix it pretty quickly and generally listen to consensus rather than one or two whiners
I'm pretty worried about the premium currency mentioned in the special edition DLC, I really hope that's just for cosmetic unlocking and not some gameplay benefit
Even for cosmetics only, that sounds awful. There are no games anymore that don't rely on predatory business models it seema, except the odd indie title.
For the eagled-eyed viewers who have been loving the subtitles for these trailer releases, the binary translates from: "01101001 01101110 01100001 01100100 01110101 01101001 01100010 01101100 01100101" to "inaduible" Potentially spelling mistake?
@@Cheesepuff8 they have confirmed just 4 classes, vet, orgryn, Zealot and pysker. The 4 chars we saw before was a party of 2 vets, an Ogryn and a Zealot. They also confirmed you can have any number of the same class in a party.
If that's the reason you are disappointed than yes, it is bad. Why would you think the game would be a squad of 4 guardsmen? Bear in mind according to them, you can play with 4 stacks of the same "class" since the game relies on character customisation and not preset characters. So gather some people together and just role that normie class and there you go.
@@skyblue2708 Because the early advertisement showed regular guardsman battling against impossible odds. I don't want to be a very special quirky boy. I personally find it played out.
@@callusklaus2413 actually multiple people can use the same class so if you got 3 other people to agree to it you could run a full squad of regular guardsmen
Looks like 2 new characters are in! Nice, though is it still possible to play as the "regular" guardsman / guardswoman? Was kinda looking forward to that.
@@abucket14 i got into 40k cause of dawn of war 1 and its been disappointing the lack of any decent 40k games. so fingers crossed this game is at least decent.
Incredibly dope to it seems be able to play as a psyker, would be extra dope to also play as a Crusader, Assassin, Adeptus Mechanicus, and hell maybe even another kind of Abhuman like a Ratling or something, lot you can do with just "guardsmen level" characters in this mythos.
I was happy as a child when I saw the FATSHARK icon on the stream. And I was happy to see trailers on Darktide and Vermintide. So I'm waiting for the release and hope for the best)
