Ppl hate on power fist but it's actually better. If your style with assault is to slam down next to someone with your special and finish them with a melee (and I'd suggest that it is), then power fist is better At full hp, u need 2 hits of melee with both weapons to finish them, except power fist does those hits much faster. Thunder hammer does more damage but that damage is wasted because it doesn't matter what damage the 2nd hit does and u can't do it in 1 hit. So ur trading overkill damage for melee speed Technically thunder hammer could be better if ur jumping into a group of ppl and want to kill multiple with the melee follow up, but that virtually never happens
A charged fist attack also has longer reach ahead of you. It’s just not clear visually but you send out a shock wave. Hammer has a shorter wave, but spread in all directions around impact. Different uses, good design. I just wish the sword had more tracking and mobility. Right now it feels weaker in general, even with its superior speed. With animation canceling through Parry, having fast swings isn’t a very compelling feature.
All these replies are pure cope. There is no reason to use it over the hammer or the sword. It's also really lame animation wise, second hit is a side swipe (like you are holding a weapon). Who does that with a fist? Who strikes with a outwards swiping motion? So lame. There's also barely any acceleration in the motion, it should be a lot snappier instead of a constant motion. Look at God of War Chains of Olympus for how to do the stupidly oversized single gauntlet weapon much better.
