But if I'd been that Codicier and was 1: Unable to read or even sense Parax's presence and 2: Unable to discern a decent reason for his presence so close to the Alpha Legion ahead of all other forces, on top of that "too early" remark. Parax would have been dropped (killed) where he stood! But then, this Dark Apostle is all too aware how gullible, naive and foolish those who suckle at the Corpse-Emperors teats are!! >XD Hail the Ruinous Powers!! +Lord Caedus. The only thing I don’t get is why did the Alpha Legionairies teleport in and give themselves away? They had the black consuls right where they eanted them. Enemies killing enemies. They could have just sat back and let the whole thing play out flawlessly. Then again it wouldn’t be much of an Alpha Legion story if the Alpha legion never actually shows up. The author probably just made them do it for the sake of story telling more than anything else.

My thoughts too. It made no sense at all. Not only were they giving away the scheme, but why would they teleport somewhere where they are surrounded and easily killed. And you know what, if I was a secretly traitorous chaos inquisitor, i'd resist the urge to get a tattoo saying 'i heart Tzzentch'.

Unless... The governor was actually loyal and the rebel were actually enemies thinking being loyal?... 🤔 42:51 "the legionary stared at the Consuls for what seems to be an infinity"... They knew they were there, watching. The AL put up a show for them, making the Librarian think the Governor was on the enemy side ad had failed them bring of no more use to them... What if it was just taken prisoner as a loyal Imperial? What if the rebels were actually made thinking to be loyal while doing the AL interests? I'm Alpharius.

Is the captain's name really "Estrus"? I heard it pronounced a couple of different ways in this reading... Estrus: a recurring period of sexual receptivity and fertility in many female mammals; heat.
