Ok, I LOVE the firing animations! its a little thing, but it pulls you in and really helps visualize which unit is doing what. It really helps "zoom" the focus of the game back to the models and away from just "two guys rolling dice", as some other batreps often devolve into.

Same. I have no idea what they're saying but I watched the whole 3 finals video! You guys should added some lower 3rd overlay with info on it, like the unit spells or special ruleset. So that us newbie know what's going on the battlefield.

Thanks @@Jas2davir! The samurai robes and hakama pants are all sculpted with green stuff, then I scrounge any katana style blades wherever I can find them, same for the sashimono banners.This army has been pieced together over almost 20 years, so some of the units are very difficult to replicate at this point. I also love to bestow battle honours on any units that perform above and beyond in a given event, so the models have evolved over time. Any models in particular you're looking at?

@@princeibushi1135 wow, i'm looking at customizing one or two Autarch Skyrunner s for my harli/ynnari/craftworld mix that i'm going for, i found some workable katanas from shapeways might be placing an order soon, i might give green stuff a try with spare guardian models to see if i can mold suits. I have acquired a box of shadow warriors to convert into rangers as they come with a helmet and chest armor. As for my yvraine i've yet to figure out what to do, i have 8x metal howling banshees which i plan on switching the weapons into katanas from the set that i'll order, just unsure on how to get the armors done.

I really love the idea of graphics between units to show shooting and magic, but I feel like they need to be slower than most of the ones used here. When they are onscreen for only half a second, it’s hard to tell exactly what units are interacting. Especially when the source or target is part of a big clump of small base units. Maybe spotlight the two units before the graphic, or have the graphic onscreen for a lot longer? Just one viewer’s opinion, and only mentioned with the intent to make this incredible production even better. Absolutely outstanding work you guys. ❤️

This is already pretty close to a production level that I would just sit random family members down and force them to watch. I really think you guys are quickly getting to a place where the show is entertaining even for people who know nothing about the game, history, or units involved. So so good. I think what ultimately cost mike the game was not getting a return on the CP he invested into daemonforge due to some poor luck on his part and good luck on Ruperts part. Each CP spent is full refills on models with very valuable attacks, so rolling 4+ 1s and 2s when you've committed said model both tabletop position wise and CP wise can be game breaking

Was simply searching for some videos with tips on how to paint miniatures (just bought my first miniatures game: Star Wars Legion) and one of your videos was recommended. I clicked it at first, thinking, "Oh, I'll take a quick look at the painted figs and move on." Watched one full match not knowing what exactly was happening stats-wise with the units, but it was just so damn well done that I had to sit back and watch more. Excellent job to everyone in front and behind the camera. The fact that you're grabbing viewers (many, like me, who don't even know what's going on) and keeping them throughout speaks volumes. Fantastic production and finalized product for viewers. I only discovered the channel a month or so back and watching these reports are very entertaining. Had no doubts about the Japanese themed Eldar pulling out the win; when a person knows the army inside and out, it is exceptionally difficult to beat. Rupert has played Eldar for at least a decade and with some of the same models displayed here. Expertly piloted. Thank you to all who are a part of this fantastic 40K production.

We try to up the game each video and experiment. Adding the graphics were time intensive and the gremlins around this time of year were working against us. Next time maybe we will get past turn 1 for those.

One of us on the channel painted minis for 12 years before he played his first game. Now the thought of having beautiful minis battling on incredible landscapes is a real motivator and makes all aspects of the hobby really fun.
