I used to be into wh40k before I played commander but this set has got me wanting to b Get a kill team to try out again.

People talk about of smack about 40k lore, and it is a bit tropey - but honestly it's some of the richest and most compelling I've ever come across. I've not played for decades and likely never will again, but man - the lore will stay with me.

Pity their knowledge of necron Lore is terrible and innacurate. But the honest enthusiasm is great.

@@eldunae922 Necron lore has changed a lot over the last 30 years, so it's understandable to get some of the details mixed up together.

@@olly123451 true, but the necrontyr fighting the chaos gods was never something that happened. It was always their beef with the old ones, it mostly changed who ended up on top, necron or C'tan

Most of the Chaos gods were created during the war in heaven tho. And when described by non eldars the necrontyr were never servants more allies with the c'tan. And you can't really trust an eldars opinion about the necron.

Exactly, and the Necron responded by Ripping the C'tan shards apart and turning them into glorified batteries. So it's not so much that the gods they made lost more that the necron fucked them up when they betrayed them.

@@AsylumMateKarma But only after they helped them win against the Old Ones, who they were going to war with mostly because they'd said "no" when asked for the secret of immortality (and even that was mainly politics on the behalf of the Silent King, giving the feuding dynasties a common enemy).

@@TheM8 They weren't really involved in the War in Heaven though. It was only really between the Old Ones, the C'tan and the two sides allies. The Chaos Gods only really started to interact with the galaxy fully once the Eye of Terror came into existence and also when warp travel become more widely used. Also the Necrons were servants as their metal bodies literally had loyalty programming built in so they were servants/slaves until the Silent King managed to break the programming which is when they turned against the C'tan.

No. Nurgle cares about all life forms equally. The several billion lives in a disease are worth more than your one singular life. That’s all. Nothing more to it. I hate when people try to overcomplicate things.

I am hoping this product does well enough were we get a set of 40k decks that are Tau, Ork, League of Votann, Aeldari.

Do Orkz even have a commander?

@@trise2033 Depends what you mean. They don't seem to have much traditional tribal synergy. But a great deal of the cards for the 40k decks have been invented, so inventing an Ork deck would be as hard as the Tyranid deck. From a lore perspective, you've got Ghazghkull, Nazdreg, Ol' Zogwort, Zodgrod Wortsnagga, Wazdakka Gutsmek Hell, you could make a vehicles themed deck with Wazdakka as the Commander. And have red sorceries cast at instant speed. (Cuz da Red wunz go fasta!!)

@@LRRMTG Huh, that is really interesting. Whatever the case, I dig it. Also, the biggest draw to this series over similar commander gameplay series is everyone's glowing personalities, as well as the slick styling and pacing. I think the lack of reality tv-style cutaway testimonials and crazy yet repetitive animations greatly benefit the series. It's commander, as it's really played, by people who are naturally entertaining to watch, with a little bit of theming and visual aids to help make what's happening in game more clear. Keep it up!

Lore wise, kinda but in game the Tyranid deck is more counters matter where as slivers want you to just vomit out lots of creatures and hope everyone else didn't pack enough wraths
